2024 WPGA Foursomes Championships

Monday May 6, 2024 - Longue Vue Club in Verona, PA
This notice serves as confirmation for 2024 WPGA Foursomes Championships on Monday May 6, 2024, at Longue Vue Club in Verona, PA. Additional information will be distributed on the starting tee. The locker room and practice facility will open at least one hour prior to the first starting time on the day of the tournament.
At least one member of the grouping is required to download the Golf Genius scoring app prior to arrival. The groupings GGID will be provided on the first tee.
Format: 36-holes of Foursomes Stroke Play (also known as Alternate Shot) for both the Fred Brand Foursomes Division and the Semple Century Foursomes Division. Please see Rule 22 Foursomes in the Rules of Golf. Play is governed by the USGA The Rules of Golf and any Local Rules and Conditions distributed at the starting tee. In the event of a tie for first place, a hole-by-hole playoff will take place on holes to be determined by the Committee.
Tee Markers: Play for the Fred Brand Foursomes Division will be from the WPGA WHITE Tee Markers at roughly 6,400 yards. Play for the Semple Century Foursomes Division will be from the WPGA BLUE Tee Markers at roughly 6,000 yards. Please note that yardages are subject to change.
Pace of Play: The maximum allowable time will be three hours and forty minutes (3:40). A checkpoint system will be in place for the qualifying rounds.
Practice: Practice rounds are not available. Practice range balls are complimentary the morning of the competition.
Transportation/Caddies: Carts are permitted and included in the entry fee. Players may bring their own caddies.
Food: Lunch is included and will be available between rounds.
Footwear: Model Local Rule G-7 Prohibiting Use of Certain Types of Shoes is in effect. Shoes with traditional spikes or spikes of any design that are entirely or partially made of metal is prohibited.
Lodging: Lodging of various price ranges can be found in the Oakland and Monroeville areas.
Evacuation Plan: In the event of a suspension of play for a dangerous situation, all players are to immediately return to the clubhouse. WPGA staff and volunteers will assist in evacuation.
Note: A suspension for a dangerous situation will be signaled by one prolonged air horn note. All other types of suspension will be signaled by three consecutive air horn notes. Resumption of play will be signaled by two short air horn notes.
Spectator Info: No spectator carts will be permitted for the round without pre-approved ADA verification. Please contact the WPGA office for ADA guidelines.
