Section Assistant Professional Championship is Open to A-8s & All Associates in Good Standing. 

Only A-8's and B-8's who have completed Level 1 of the PGM Program and meet the eligibility criteria can advance.

Appendix A, Article 1, Section 2b of PGA Bylaws

The term “Assistant Golf Professional” shall refer to an individual who is primarily employed at a PGA Recognized Golf Facility and who spends at least 50% of the time working on club repair, merchandising, handicapping records, inventory control, bookkeeping, and tournament operations. 

 

Late Registration Policy

Late entries are received up to 48 hours after the deadline and are subject to a $25 late fee.

 

Refund Policy

WD before the deadline - Refund is entry fee less processing fees of 5%  

WD after the deadline - Refund is less tournament expenses (e.g., golf fees, food/beverage, tee gifts, processing fees of 5%)  

WD within 48 hours of the event - No refund

Practice Round

Available the week before the tournament. 

Before 12:30 PM the practice round fee is $35 plus tax. After 12:30 PM Complimentary. Please call (407) 390-6664 to schedule a practice round.

Male Professionals = Approximately 6,800 yards

Female Professionals = Approximately 85% of Male Professionals yardage

Dress Code

Proper golf attire must be worn at all times during play.  Tank tops, jeans (denim or not), and tee shirts are not considered appropriate golf attire.  Professionals are expected to maintain an image that will reflect well on them and the Association.  If it is felt that the attire of a professional or an amateur competing in section events does not project the proper image, the Committee is empowered to take any necessary action.  Women professionals may wear shorts or the like, but they must be acceptable golf attire.  Male professionals are allowed to wear shorts year-round per the following guidelines;

  • Shorts must be Bermuda length and not be made of denim or the like 

  • Shorts shall not be worn if the sponsor is opposed to the policy

  • Shorts shall not be worn if the host site is opposed to the policy
