ELIGIBILITY

The top six finishers from each states’ Girls’ Championship receive invitations to be a member of the challenge team. Players must be at least 13 years of age to qualify for the team.

FORMAT

Individual match play in Nassau scoring format, 1 point for front nine, 1 point for back nine, 1 point for overall match result.

 

 

 

PRACTICE ROUNDS

One practice round per player/team. Practice rounds will be available on the designated times below prior to the competition. We ask that you arrive at the club by 11:00 a.m., allowing time to have lunch and spend time together as a team before warming up for play.

  • Friday, August 2
  • Georgia team @ 1:00-1:10
  • South Carolina team @ 1:20-1:30

YARDAGES & TEES

A practice yardage sheet will be made available to both teams in advance of the practice round.

GOLF SHOP & DRIVING RANGE:

The golf shop and driving range will open at 6:30 a.m. each day of competition.

 

STARTING TIMES

Starting times for tournament match play will be assigned by the GSGA/WSCGA. Players will be provided a link to access the event portal for complete pairing information, starting times and information prior to the event.

CADDIES

All players must walk and carry their own bag or may use a pull cart. Caddies are specifically prohibited.

RULES OF PLAY/ PACE OF PLAY POLICIES

The GSGA Rules of Play and Pace of Play policies shall be in effect. Spectator carts will available during the competition rounds. Max two per group.

 

 

DRESS CODE

 

Proper golf attire must be worn in all phases of this competition. No tank tops, tee shirts, or blue jeans will be allowed. Competitors must be neat in respect to personal grooming and clothing.

 

 

SCHEDULE &

PLAYER HOSPITALITY

Friday, August 2: Georgia team hosts social and casual dinner party for both team’s players and captains approximately 7:30 p.m.

Saturday, August 3: Matches begin 8:00 a.m.

Sunday, August 4: Matches begin 8:00 a.m.

 

FOOD SERVICE

Food & beverage service will be available each day. Credit cards ONLY will be the accepted form of payment at the clubhouse, The Grill and Pro-Shop will accept both Credit Card and Cash.

AWARDS

The Karen Ferree trophy will be awarded to the winning team.

ACCOMMODATIONS

Player lodging arranged by each team’s golf association.

Parents attending the matches are responsible for their own housing arrangements.
