AGES/ELIGIBILITY

 Open to two-person teams of female amateur golfers with a maximum individual USGA Handicap Index of 31.9 and a maximum team differential of eight strokes; must be 18 years old by September 9. Entries are on a first come, first serve basis.

FIELD SIZE

60 teams; Teams will play in both gross and net divisions. Field will be expanded if 80 teams enter, with a maximum of 100 teams.

FORMAT

36 holes, Gross and Net flighted competitions will be played simultaneously by all players and trophies will be awarded to both champions. All players will play from one set of tees/yardages (approximately 5000-5400 yards) and 90% of your handicap index. Round 1 - Four-Ball (Gross & Net), Round 2 - Scramble.

PRACTICE ROUND

One practice round per player. Practice rounds will be available on the designated times below two weeks prior to the competition. Please call The Orchard Golf and Country Club to reserve your practice round starting time after you have received your acceptance confirmation on August 22nd.  Practice round cart and range fee is $50 plus tax. Cash and credit cards will be accepted.

 

  • Any day, based on availability.
  • An afternoon block of times on Sunday, September 8 will be available.

A combination of tee markers and yardages will be utilized for the championship. A practice yardage sheet will be available after the close of entries on the event portal page. Practice yardage sheets will also be available at the club. Yardages are approximate and may be adjusted due to inclement weather or other factors that may affect the playing conditions during the competition.

 

 

GOLF SHOP & DRIVING RANGE

The golf shop and driving range will open at 7:30 a.m. each day of competition.

STARTING TIMES

Starting times for tournament play will be assigned by the GSGA and posted at the club the day before the competition starts. You may visit www.gsga.org for complete pairing information and starting times beginning on September 2nd. 

REGISTRATION

No formal registration will be held on site. Player withdraws must be called or e-mailed to the GSGA office so that an alternate may be contacted.

CARTS

Practice carts and range fees are $50 plus tax. Tournament round cart and range fees are included in the entry fee. Cash and credit cards will be accepted.

RULES OF PLAY/PACE OF PLAY/CART POLICY

FOOD SERVICE

Food service will be available for purchase by credit card ONLY.

PRIZES

Prizes will be awarded to the top 2 finishers in each gross and net flight utilizing the gross bias method of awarding prizes. *Due to low number of participants the payout was reassessed and can be found under the results tab*

REFUND POLICY

A $30 service charge will be retained by the GSGA on all refunds granted prior to the close of entries. Entry fees will not be refunded after entries close unless there is a waiting list and your spot can be filled. Withdraws after the close of entries must be made by calling the GSGA Rules and Competitions Department at (770) 955-4272 or (800) 949-4742 or via email.
