224 Players.
ELIGIBILITY
All amateur UGA members with an active handicap index.
STARTING TIMES
9:30am shotgun start for both rounds.
PAIRING REQUESTS
Teams will have the ability to submit a pairing request (not guaranteed) for Round 1. We will re-pair for Round 2 based on results from Round 1.
PRACTICE ROUNDS
Players will be responsible for scheduling their practice round by calling the host club/s. Any practice round fee will be the responsibility of the player.
FLIGHT INFORMATION
Players will be broken into flights within divisions:
Men's Division (172 Maximum)
- Championship Flights: 112 Maximum
- A Flights: 60 Maximum
- Championship & A Flights will be at different courses. Flight will be determined by handicap. There will be a cutoff after the lowest 112 handicaps of those that have signed up. Official Handicap for Cutoff: 1.2 & below
Women's Division (52 Maximum)
Division Capacities:
There will be maximum capacities per division (listed above). These were calculated based on historical data.
As of February 1, 2024, any divisions that have not filled their capacity will have their reserved spots opened to other divisions with waitlists.
*The UGA reserves the right to change these capacities based on demand*
*Handicaps to determine the Championship Division & flights within divisions will be pulled on March 1.
Waitlists: Prior to March 1, open spots will be filled by the next person on the waitlist regardless of division. Starting on March 1, open spots will be filled by the next person on the waitlist from the same site (Champ or A Flight/Women) that the withdrawal came from.
SENIOR WINTERCHAMPS
Seniors that wish to play may sign up for either this event or the new UGA Senior Winterchamps to be held March 14-15.
If seniors wish to play in the standard UGA Winterchamps, they will not be able to do so online and will need to call the office. If the Men's Division in the standard UGA Winterchamps is not full by February 1, 2024, registration will open to those that wish to play in both. However, players should note that Senior PPR points are only available at the Senior Winterchamps.
WHAT IS MODIFIED STABLEFORD?
Stableford is a form of play in golf where your score on a hole equates to points with the goal being to have the most points. In modified Stableford the point values for a birdie, par, bogey, etc. are just changed to a different value. The values are as follows:
- Double Bogey or worse - 0 points
- Bogey - 1 point
- Par - 2 points
- Birdie - 4 points
- Eagle - 6 points
- Double Eagle - 8 points
REFUNDS AND WITHDRAWALS
If a player withdraws prior to the registration deadline the player will receive a refund minus a $20 cancellation fee. After the deadline, the player will receive a 50% refund. Beginning the day before the event, no refunds will be issued if a player withdraws or no shows (For Example, if an event begins on Monday, any withdrawal starting on Sunday will result in no refund). A business day starts at 12:01 am of that day, and the deadline will be at 4:00pm on the deadline date. In team competitions, if a player needs a substitute for his original partner after the field has closed; he must arrange to get the substitute. Any substitute must meet all eligibility requirements of the specified competition. The UGA must be notified of any substitutions prior to the start of the tournament.
