PRACTICE FACILITIES

Practice facilities at Oakland Hills Country Club will be available for players beginning Friday, July 19 at 9 a.m. The range and short-game areas will be open until 6:30 p.m., Friday, July 19. That day, players may walk the golf course, provided they do not take clubs and remain off all championship putting greens.

FORESiGHT SPORTS will have 6 - 8 launch monitors outside the teaching facility at Oakland Hills. A net will be put in place to allow for players to hit balls over the daily yardage limit. The remainder of the range will be limited to 240 yards, or similar, based on the weather.

Carl's Golfland, located six miles from Oakland Hills, will offer players a free bucket of balls. Players must show their USGA Junior Amateur player badge to use this service.

Starting Friday, July 26, the range at Oakland Hills will allow players to hit distances of 240-plus yards by hitting down No. 18 fairway, on the South Course. Until then, players must keep warmups to less than 240 yards, unless using the FORESiGHT monitors that hit into the net.

The North Course has an additional short game area near Hole No. 18.

Once match play begins, practice facilities are only available to players remaining in the championship.
