2024 65th Annual Father/Son Championship FAQs:
Q: Why were changes made to the registration process?
A: Given the extreme popularity of the Father/Son, this decision was made to allow all entrants an equal chance of entry into the event. Registration will be set up using Golf Genius Tournament software. The signup window will open on March 13th at 8:00AM and close on March 22nd at midnight. A lottery system will be used to determine entries. Teams will be informed of their status for the event no later than April 1st. The credit card used during the registration process will be charged if your entry is selected.
Q: Will paper entry forms be accepted?
A: No. No paper entry forms will be available or accepted either via personal delivery or email. Please do not come to the AZ Golf Office on the morning of March 13th as your entry will not be accepted.
Q: Is there anything I can do to prepare for when registration opens?
A: Yes. The player responsible for team signup will need to create a Master Roster profile within Golf Genius to initiate the signup process. That can be accomplished by clicking HERE then by clicking “CLICK HERE TO REGISTER”.
Q: Will all players be required to have a GHIN membership?
A: Yes. All players will need to have an active GHIN membership to sign up (Golf Professionals are exempt from GHIN number requirement). One player in each group must be active in an Arizona based club while other players may have their membership out of state. If you do not have enough scores present to calculate a Handicap Index the Callaway scoring system will be used for your team. If you do not currently have a GHIN membership you can signup online by clicking HERE.
Q: Has the minimum age requirement changed?
A: Yes. All participants must be a minimum of 13 years old as of June 8th, 2024. This decision was made for pace of play reasons and liability reasons as too many young children were present in/driving golf carts unattended.
