FIELD SIZE

Maximum field size = 120 players in one Championship division.  The final field will be determined by handicap index at the close of entries, in addition to a number of exemptions.  Exemptions listed under PLAYER INFORMATION section.

ELIGIBILITY

Entries are open to female amateur golfers that are members of a GSGA member club with an active handicap index of 10.0 and below, and a resident of the state of Georgia.

FORMAT

54 holes of individual stroke play.  There will be a cut to the low 60 players and ties after 36 holes.

 

PRACTICE ROUND

One practice round per player. Practice rounds will be available on the designated times below June 14-June 26 prior to the competition. If you wish to play a practice round on Thursday, June 27 registration will take place through Golf Genius.  Any other dates, please call Country Club of Columbus to reserve your practice round starting time.  Practice round cart and range fee is $50 plus tax.

  • Tuesday-Thursday, anytime based on availability.
  • Friday and Sunday mornings, based on availability.
  • Satruday afternoon, based on availability.
  • For practice rounds on Thursday, June 27 registration will be through Golf Genius.  Instructions will be sent with player acceptance on June 13.

 

YARDAGES & TEES

 

YARDAGE BOOKS WILL BE PROVIDED AS PART OF THE PLAYER GIFT PACKAGE. 

 

 

Practice yardages are posted online under the PLAYER INFORMATION section.  Yardages are approximate and may be adjusted due to inclement weather or other factors that may affect the playing conditions during the competition.  The posted yardages is the maximum possible set-up the course will be played.  Yardages and alternate tees will be utilized during the Championship.

GOLF SHOP & DRIVING RANGE

The golf shop and driving range will open by 6:30 a.m. each day of competition.

STARTING TIMES

Starting times for tournament play will be assigned by the GSGA and posted at the club the day before the competition starts. You may visit www.gsga.org for complete pairing information and starting times beginning on June 21.  

REGISTRATION

Formal registration will be held on site on Thursday, June 27 from 10:00-5:00 in the Haskins Room and on Friday, June 28 from 7:00-12:30 or earlier depending on field size.

CARTS/CADDIES

Practice round fees are $50 plus tax. Tournament round fees are included in the entry fee. Credit cards and cash will be accepted.

 

Players may provide their own caddie.  Players/Caddies are subject to the GSGA cart policy.  Either the player or caddie may ride in a cart, but not both at the same time.  Both may also walk.  Push/pull carts are allowed.

FOOD SERVICE/PLAYER HOSPITALITY

Food service will be available at the halfway house and in the grill throughout the competition. Lunch will be provided during rounds one and two courtesy of GSGA for BOTH players and caddies.  Lunch will also be available for purchase by guests/spectators. 

 

A Championship Player Welcome Party will be held on Thursday evening, June 27 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Country club casual/golf attire, no jeans or t-shirts please.  

 

 

PRIZES

Gift certificates will be awarded to the top finishers based on the total number of entries.  The following trophies will be awarded:

 

  • Champion - Eleanor M. Keeler Memorial Trophy
  • Low 18-Hole Score of the Championship - Ceil Maclaurin Trophy
  • Low 54-Hole Score by a player over 50 years of age - Burns Cup

 

The champion will also receive an exemption into the 2024 U.S. Women's Amateur Championship and the 2025 Sea Island Women's Amateur at Sea Island Golf Club to be played May 2025.  The Sea Island Women's Amateur is now part of the Women's Elite Amateur Series.  More information can be found by visiting: Sea Island Women's Amateur

 

REFUND POLICY

A $30 service charge will be retained by the GSGA on all refunds granted prior to the close of entries. Entry fees will not be refunded after entries close unless there is a waiting list and your spot can be filled. Withdraws after the close of entries must be made by calling the GSGA Rules and Competitions Department at (770) 955-4272 or (800) 949-4742 or via email.
