2023 LaBonte Four-Ball Tournament

Entry Fee: $225/18 holes per team

Entries Open: 07/25/2023 at 10:00 am

Entries Close: 10/5/2023 at 5:00 pm

 

Eligibility: 

  • Two women teams
  • Amateur golfers who have an active Mass Golf Membership with a Handicap Index® not exceeding 54.0.0 (as determined by the Handicap Revision on the date of entry)
  • Players with a Handicap Index of higher than 36.0 will be limited to a 36.0 Playing Handicap

 

Entry Procedures: 

Entries and fully paid entry fees must be received through the Mass Golf Online Entry process by 5:00pm EST on the published entry deadline.

 

Field: 

Entries will be on a first come, first served basis. After the field is full a waitlist will automatically start.

 

Format: 

 

  • 18 holes of Four-Ball stroke play (commonly known as two-person Best Ball)
  • Each player plays her own ball and the side's score for a hole is the lower gross score of the two partners.
  • Gross and Net Divisions

 

 

Handicaps: 

All golfers will play to 85% of their Playing Handicap™. Indexes computed on October 5, 2023.

          

Caddies & Automotive Transportation: 

Cart fee is included in entry fee. Caddies and pull carts (at the host club(s) discretion) are permitted.

 

Food & Beverage: Mass Golf will be providing a complimentary lunch for all competitors.

 

Starting Time: 

Shotgun start at 10:00 AM.

 

Awards: 

Trophy engraved with names of gross winners. Ties honored for first place gross only. All other ties will be decided by matching cards in accordance with USGA® recommended method. Prize certificates to be used at host club. 

 

Rules of Golf: 

The USGA® Rules of Golf, Local Rules and Terms of Competitions for Mass Golf Tournaments govern all play.

Withdrawal & Refund Policy: 

Competitors, who have submitted an entry for a Mass Golf event and wish to withdraw for any reason, MUST notify the Mass Golf staff contact for the event (listed on each event page) or the Mass Golf office in writing (e-mail is acceptable and encouraged) or by phone. 

  • At least seven days prior to the event
    • entry fee minus a $20 administrative fee will be refunded
  • Less than seven days and at least 48 hours prior to the event
    • 50% of entry fee will be refunded
  • Within 48 hours of the event
    • no refunds will be processed
