TERMS OF THE COMPETITION
ELIGIBILITY
This championship is open to amateur golfers who meet the following requirements:
- Membership: Be a member of the TCGA, defined as either (1) belonging to a TCGA member club or (2) residing in one of the following counties: Broome, Chenango, Cortland, Delaware, Otsego, Tioga, Bradford (PA), or Susquehanna (PA).
- Age: To compete in the Senior Division, players must be at least 55 years old as of July 14, 2023. Otherwise, there are no additional age requirements.
ENTRIES, DEADLINE, AND REFUND POLICY
- Entries: An entry must be submitted online with payment prior to the deadline. Late entries will not be accepted, regardless of reason.
- Entry Fee (Includes Green Fees, Carts, Prizes, and Awards):
- All Divisions: $120
- *Members at Endwell Greens Golf Club or Links at Hiawatha Landing may contact their home club directly for greens fee reimbursement following tournament play.
- Deadline: Entries must be received prior to the deadline (5PM EST on Tuesday, July 11, 2023). Late entries will not be accepted, regardless of reason.
- Refund Policy: The entry fee, less a $10 service fee, will be refunded if a player withdraws prior to the close of registrations (5PM EST on Tuesday, July 11, 2023). No refund will be awarded after the registration deadline.

- First Round Cut: There is a first round cut for all divisions for anyone outside of 25 shots of the first-round leader for pace of play considerations.
- 54-Hole Event: This year’s TCGA Senior and TCGA Women’s Amateur have been lengthened to 54-hole events. This gives all players the opportunity to make it to play Binghamton Country Club and allows the Women’s Division to be eligible for World Amateur Golf Rankings (WAGR) points if there are at least 8 competitors.
WORLD AMATEUR GOLF RANKINGS (WAGR)
For the Open Division and Women’s Division, the winner of the event will now receive World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR) points. Points have already been applied based on the 2021 and 2022 competition results. Any amateur who received WAGR points in a WAGR rated event prior to playing this year's (and subsequent years) TCGA Amateur Championships will also be eligible to receive WAGR points based on their finish in the event, depending on finishing place. Awarding of World Amateur Points are contingent on a minimum of 8 entries into the respective tournament's division.
PLAYER OF THE YEAR POINTS
This event awards Remlik’s Player of the Year points for the Open Division as outlined on the Point System and Eligibility page.
RULES
All play will be governed by the USGA Rules of Golf. Players will be provided a "Notice to Players" rules sheet containing local rules and conditions. The TCGA and/or the host course golf professional will be available to provide rulings and answer questions.
FIRST ROUND TEE TIMES & PAIRINGS
The pairings will be available on Tuesday, July 11th, following the close of entires, and will be emailed to all players. Pairing requests will not be accommodated for individual stroke play championship events. Timing of second round and third round pairings will be division and score based and automatically generated.
GOLF CARTS
The use of golf carts is permitted during the event, and is included in entry fee for Round 1 and Round 2 - for players that make the cut, a $20 cart fee which includes use of the driving range is payable in the Binghamton Country Club pro shop before Round 3.
CADDIES
The use of a caddie is permitted, although groups are STRICTLY limited to 2 carts total and each player in the group is entitled to one seat before a caddie may ride in an open seat. For example, a threesome where two players bring caddies cannot take a 3rd golf cart, they must work out which caddie will ride in the open seat, caddies may alternate riding as well.
Players who are in the tournament field in any division are NOT permitted to caddy for another player in any division at any time before, during, or after their round. However, players cut after Round 2 are permitted to caddy for another player during the final round. Players and caddies are NOT permitted to play on the tournament course the day of the tournament round prior to play for any of the three rounds of the tournament.

Receive an exemption into the 2023 NYS Amateur (Wykagyl CC) and the 2023 NYS Mid-Amateur (Crag Burn GC). The champion must meet NYSGA membership and championship specific requirements.

PRIZES
Pro shop credit (prize payouts) will be awarded to approximately 20% of the field of each division. There will be an optional $10 per person skins game available each day, broken out by division, payable in the host course pro shop upon registration/check-in.
