Memorandum to Contestants
Thank you for entering the 2023 WSGA Mid-Amateur Championship. We welcome you as a contestant and trust your experience playing the Olive Glenn Golf and Country Club in an event conducted by the Wyoming State Golf Association will be enjoyable and one you will always remember.
The following information will help answer questions and explain many details before arriving in Cody. Please keep this memorandum for reference.

Practice Rounds
If desired, those entered may contact the Olive Glenn Golf Shop to arrange a practice round. Practice rounds are complimentary for registered competitors only.
Personal Effects
Please take care of your valuables. Neither the Olive Glenn Golf and Country Club nor the WSGA can assume responsibility for articles lost or stolen.
Format –Stroke Play – 54 Holes
Players will be placed in flights based on your gender and your handicap index. Handicaps will be calculated based on the August 8th Handicap Revision.
Championship and First Flight – Black/Blue Tees
All other Men’s Flights will play the – White Tees
All Women’s Flights will play the – Red/Yellow Tees
Friday, August 11 – Round 1 – 18 Holes
Saturday, August 12 – Round 2 – 18 Holes
Sunday, August 13 – Final Round – 18 Holes
The lowest 54 Hole score will be the 2023 Men’s and Women’s Mid-Amateur State Champions.
Player Registration
All contestants should register in person during the following hours: Thursday, August 10, 12:00pm – 5pm.
During these hours you may pay for the Deuce and Skin pots.

Practice Areas
Practice areas will open one hour prior to the first starting time each day of competition. Complimentary range balls will be available on the practice range Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Dress Code
Players must be neat in appearance with respect to clothing and personal grooming. The Committee in charge shall decide whether this requirement has been met, and has authority to withdraw the entry of a player who does not comply.
Shorts may be worn, but jeans or denim shorts are not allowed. The following items are forbidden: tank tops, cut-off shorts, jogging shorts, and gym shorts. Absolutely No Metal Spikes.
Caddies and Carts
A player may carry his or her own bag, use a pull cart, power cart or provide his own caddie. You may pay for a cart prior to the competition or after the start of the competition in the golf shop.
Starting Times
It is your responsibility to be at the starting tee early. An official clock will be present on the first and tenth tees with unofficial clocks in the practice area.
