FORMAT: The 38th Ed Tutwiler Four-Ball is a Four-Ball Stroke Play competition, two partners competing together as a side. Each player plays his own ball. Society of Seniors members may bring a non-member as a partner.
Members of a team may be of different ages; each player plays the appropriate set of tees according to their age.
Three sets of tees (55-64, 65-69 and 70+).
One payoff division.
TOURNAMENT REGISTRATION: At the clubhouse on Sunday, April 23 beginning at 10:00 a.m. Please register to receive your tee gift. Pairings and Instructions will be available. Practice range will open at 10:00 a.m.
Sunday, April 23: Practice round will be a 1:00 p.m. shotgun. Players who did not register for a Practice Round have been randomly paired for the Shotgun start. If you do NOT intend to participate in the practice round, please let SOS staff know.
Heavy hors d'oeuvres and cash bar reception follows practice round shotgun at approximately 5:00 p.m.
Monday, April 24: Practice range will open at 6:30 a.m. Tee times will start beginning at 7:30 a.m. from
the first and tenth tees.
Tuesday, April 25: Practice range will open at 6:30 a.m. Tee times will start beginning at 7:30 a.m.
from the first and tenth tees.
Wednesday, April 26: Will be an 8:30 a.m. shotgun. Practice range will open at 7:30 a.m. Awards
ceremony immediately following play at scoring area.
MEALS, ETC: Buffet lunch prior to Sunday practice shotgun beginning at 11:00 a.m. Welcome reception follows golf on
Sunday. Player lunches on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, site to be determined.
CREDIT CARDS: Amex, Visa or MasterCard accepted.
CARTS: Practice round and tournament carts are included in your entry fee. Carts are permitted in the
parking lot. Spectators are not allowed in players’ carts.
NOTES: Practice balls are included in your entry fee. Club storage is available. There is limited locker
space and shoe service available. You may tip the bag and cart attendants. The pro shop is open daily.
WITHDRAW/REFUND POLICY FOR 2023 Ed Tutwiler Four-Ball: Once an entry has been officially filed a withdrawal fee of $150 ($300 per team) shall apply. Withdrawals within 30 days of round one shall incur an additional fee of $100 ($200 per team). Withdrawals within 7 days of round one shall only receive a partial refund if the spot is filled. If the spot is unfilled, the player forfeits his entire entry fee. Entries withdrawn after 12:00 a.m. of tournament practice day will forfeit the entire entry fee.
