103rd Western Pennsylvania Junior Championship

Monday, June 12, 2023 - The Links at Spring Church, Apollo, PA

 


The competition is 36 holes of stroke play with a field of 42 players. Play is governed by the USGA Rules of Golf. In the event of a tie for first place, a hole by hole playoff will take place on holes to be determined by the Committee.
 

Note to Parents & Guardians— A parent, stepparent, or guardian may not serve as a caddie.  Spectator carts are not permitted for use during the Championship.  Lunch is provided for the players only. 

 

Winner gains an exemption into the WPGA Amateur Championship for 2023 & 2024
Top 3 & ties gain an invitation to C.R. Miller Memorial Junior Match Play Invitational

 

Practice: Practice rounds can be scheduled by contacting the golf shop at 724-478-5478.  Practice rounds are available at the discretion of the Pro Shop. Practice round fees are the responsibility of the player. 

 

Tee Markers: All play will be from the WPGA WHITE tee markers. The course will play roughly 6,600 yards depending on conditions.  Yardages may vary from round to round. 

 

Transportation/Caddies: Players and Caddies are required to walk for the championship. Players may bring their own caddies if they so choose. Caddies must walk in performance of their duties. A parent, stepparent, or guardian may not serve as a caddie.

 

Lodging: Lodging of various price ranges can be found in the Vandergrift or Apollo, PA area. 

 

Food: The WPGA provides water on course. Lunch will be provided between rounds of the competition. The WPGA provides lunch for players only. All other food and beverage charges are the responsibility of the player.

 

Footwear: METAL CLEATS ARE PROHIBITED. THE PENALTY IS DISQUALIFICATION.

 

Pace of Play: The maximum allowable time will be four hours and twenty minutes (4:20). The Pace of Play Policy can be found HERE.

 

Spectator Info: No spectator carts will be permitted for the competition without pre-approved ADA verification. Please contact the WPGA office for ADA guidelines. ADA carts are based on availability.
