Memorandum to Contestants

Thank you for entering the 5th Women's Wyoming Match Play Championship. We welcome you as a contestant and trust your experience playing in an event conducted by the Wyoming State Golf Association will be enjoyable and one you will always remember.

 

The following information will help answer questions and explain many details before arriving in Hulett.  Please keep this memorandum for reference.

Practice Rounds

If desired, those entered may contact The Golf Club a Devils Tower to arrange a practice round.  Practice rounds are complimentary for registered competitors only.  Times are limited due to the Championship Qualifying Round.

 

Format – Match Play

Thursday, June 8 – Championship Qualifying – 18 Holes Stroke Play – The Lowest 32 gross scores will comprise the Championship Flight.  Should there be a tie after 18 holes; a hole by hole playoff starting on hole 1 will decide the Championship Flight.  Seeding for the Championship Flight will be determined by gross score for the qualifying round.  Ties for seeding will be broken by card matching starting on the 18th hole going backwards.  First Round Matches will begin Thursday afternoon for the Championship Flight.  Seeding for all other flights will be determined by handicap index as of the June 8th.

 

All Matches are stipulated for 18 Holes

A Match is won when one side leads by a number of holes greater than the number remaining to be played.

 

Personal Effects

Please take care of your valuables.  Neither The Golf Club at Devils Tower nor the WSGA can assume responsibility for articles lost or stolen.

 

Dress Code

All players must comply with the club dress code:  Collared shirt, blouse w/collar or sleeves, Bermuda length shorts.  NO Denim, T-Shirts, Cut-offs or Athletic Shorts.  Alternative Spikes are required.

 

Caddies and Carts

You have prepaid for your carts for Friday and Saturday's Rounds, please visit the Golf Shop to pay for Thursday's Round or Rounds.

Starting Times

It is your responsibility to be at the starting tee early.  An official clock will be present on the First Tee and tenth tee with unofficial clocks in the practice area.
