ELIGIBILITY

1. This competition is open to all PGA of Canada Members who are in good standing with the PGA of Canada and:
SENIORS' CHAMPIONSHIP – have reached their 50th birthday by August 8, 2023. 
SUPER SENIORS' CHAMPIONSHIP – have reached their 60th birthday by August 8, 2023.
DIAMOND CHAMPIONSHIP – have reached their 70th birthday by August 8, 2023. This division will be contested from a shortened set of tee-markers. Members who choose to enter the Diamond Championship are ineligible to participate in the open Seniors’ Championship or the Super Seniors’ Championship.
Note: If there are less than five entrants for the Diamond Championship by the entry deadline, this competition will not be conducted. Entrants will be notified and given the opportunity to withdraw from the Championship or participate in the Super Seniors’ and/or Seniors’ Championship(s).
2. Members in good standing with any PGA within the PGA World Alliance who meet the criteria of 1 above.
3. Members in good standing with any recognized PGA who meet the criteria of 1 above.
4. All applications are subject to approval or rejection by the PGA of Canada at any time before or after the start of play.

 

CHAMPIONSHIP FIELD

The championship field for 2023 will be comprised of 120 players.  All entries will be placed in the following order of priority: a) Exemptions, b) PGA of Canada members, c) PGA World Alliance members, then d) Recognized PGA members.

 

EXEMPTIONS

1. 2022 PGA of Canada Senior Champion
2. 2022 PGA of Canada Super Senior Champion
3. Up to ten (10) places for prominent professional golfers not otherwise exempt.  These places to be granted at the sole discretion of the PGA of Canada.

ADMISSIBILITÉ
1. Cette compétition est ouverte à tous les membres féminins et masculins de la PGA du Canada qui sont en règle avec la PGA du Canada et qui :
CHAMPIONNAT SÉNIOR – ont atteint leur 50e anniversaire avant le 8 août 2023; 
DIVISION SUPER SÉNIOR – ont atteint leur 60e anniversaire avant le 8 août 2023;
DIVISION DIAMANT – ont atteint leur 70e anniversaire avant le 8 août 2023. La compétition de cette division sera disputée à partir de tertres de départ plus courts. Les membres qui choisissent de participer à la division diamant ne sont pas admissibles au Championnat sénior global ni à la compétition de la division super sénior.

Note : S'il y a moins de cinq personnes inscrites dans le championnat de la division diamant à la date de clôture des inscriptions, cette compétition n'aura pas lieu. Les personnes inscrites seront informées et auront le choix de se retirer du championnat ou de participer au championnat sénior ou super sénior.
2. Les membres en règle d’une PGA membre de l'Alliance mondiale de la PGA qui répondent aux critères du point 1 ci-dessus.
3. Les membres en règle d'une PGA reconnue qui répondent aux critères du point 1 ci-dessus.
4. Toutes les inscriptions sont susceptibles d'être approuvées ou rejetées par la PGA du Canada à tout moment avant ou après le début du jeu.

 

NOMBRE DE PLACES DANS LE CHAMPIONNAT

Le championnat de 2023 sera composé d’un total de 120 joueur(euse)s.  Toutes les inscriptions seront classées dans l'ordre de priorité suivant : a) Exemptions, b) Membres de la PGA du Canada, c) Membres de l’Alliance mondiale de la PGA, puis d) Membres d’autres PGA reconnues.

 

EXEMPTIONS

1. Champion sénior 2022 de la PGA du Canada
2. Champion super sénior 2022 de la PGA du Canada
3. Jusqu'à dix (10) places pour des golfeuses et des golfeurs professionnels éminents qui ne sont pas exemptés d'une autre manière.  Ces places seront accordées à la discrétion de la PGA du Canada.
