Practice Rounds: A practice round may be scheduled by contacting the Ledges pro shop at (207) 351-3000 and identifying yourself as a competitor in the field. Practice rounds are available for players only. Practice rounds are available Monday to Thursday at any time, and after 2:00 p.m. on Friday to Sunday. On the day before the qualifier, June 27, practice rounds are only available from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. A walking practice round is complimentary, and a cart fee is required if taking a cart.

 

Starting Times:  Play will begin in the first round at 7:30 a.m. off the 1st and 10th tees. See the "Tee Times" tab above to view the pairings and starting times. The second round will begin at 12:30 p.m. 

 

Withdrawals:  Please advise Maine Golf immediately by emailing mike@mainegolf.org if you are unable to compete. Failure to advise Maine Golf of a withdrawal may disqualify the player from future USGA competitions. 

 

Qualifying and Alternate Spots Available: 2 qualifying spots and 2 alternate spots. Qualifying players will advance to the U.S. Amateur Championship at Cherry Hills CC (Cherry Hills Village, CO).  

 

Distance Devices:  The use of distance measuring devices is permitted.

 

Automotive Transportation: The use of automotive transportation is prohibited

 

Caddies and Push Carts: Players are permitted to employ a caddy and/or use a push cart.  

 

Golf Ball:  The One-Ball Rule will NOT be in effect for this year's qualifier.

 

Competition Tees / Yardage: Competition tees and yardages are approximate and subject to change. Play will be from the USGA White tee markers, which will correspond roughly with the BLACK tee yardage (approx. 6,900 yards - Par 72). 

 

Golf Shop, Locker Room and Practice Facilities: The practice facilities will be open and available at 6:30 a.m. 

 

Food & Beverage: Please contact the Ledges GC for current information on food and beverage options at the club.

 

Dress Code:  Please observe the USGA dress code as stated in the application.  

 

*There will be no registration on the day of the event. Please report to your scheduled starting hole 10 minutes prior to your starting time to receive local rules, scorecard, etc.
