Registration Fee: $150 (Amateurs), $175 (Golf Professionals)
Registration Opens: June 26 at 7 a.m.
Registration Closes: July 26 at 11:59 p.m.
Amateur Eligibility: Open to GAP/DSGA members with a Handicap Index of 7.0 or lower
Professional Eligibility: Open to golf professionals who live in the State of Delaware, or who are employed by/affiliated with a historic DSGA member club. For questions regarding eligibility, please contact Director of Championship Administration, Laura Heien (lheien@gapgolf.org).
Format: 54-hole individual stroke play, two-day event. All players will play 18 holes on Day One. The low 36 scores and ties will advance to Day Two, when the final two rounds will be played. The routing for all three rounds of the Championship will be Black Bear-Grizzly.
Ties: Ties for the overall Championship will be decided by a sudden-death playoff.
Exemptions Earned from this Tournament:
Winner - 10 year exemption for the Delaware Open
Top 25 & Ties - Exempt for next year's Delaware Open Championship
Carts & Caddies: Cart fees are included in the entry fee. A player bring a caddie for any round of the Championship, however only one seat in the golf cart is guaranteed during Round 1. During Round 2 and Round 3, both the player and his/her caddie may ride.
Event Schedule & Starting Times
Day 1: Tee times beginning on Hole 1, groups of 3
Field cut to the low 36 scores and ties
Day 2: Round 2: Tee times based on score beginning on Hole 1 - Leaders last, groups of 2
All players will have a break between rounds of approximately 45 minutes (lunch provided for players)
Round 3: Tee times based on score beginning at approximately 12:45 p.m. off Hole 1 - Leaders last, groups of 2
Practice Rounds: Practice rounds are available on a first come, first serve basis. Tee times can be made after 12:00 PM the week prior to the Championship, except for 8/19 or 8/20. The cost for a practice round is $50, players may call the golf shop at (302) 537-5600 to schedule a practice round. Cash or credit card are both acceptable methods of payment. The routing for all three rounds of the Championship will be Black Bear-Grizzly.
