History of Tournament: The tournament was first hosted in 1997 and won by Patricia and Courtney Marsh at Commonwealth Golf Club.  Last year's Mother Daughter Modified Scotch winners were Sheila /Jacqueline Gonzalez and Tracy Welch/Amanda Adams.  The Junior Modified Scotch winners were Sarah Forbes/Olivia Jatczak.

 

Format:

  • 18 holes of Modified Scotch format
  • Each team member will hit their tee shot after which the better of the two balls will be played into the hole in alternate shot format.
  • Maximum score of 10 per hole.

 

Handicaps: 60% of lower handicap plus 40% of higher handicap for team handicap as of June 22, 2023.

 

Tees: Mass Golf Red Tees from ~5,222 yards. The course will play as a Par 72.

 

Shotgun Times: Refer to pairings and starting hole assignments.

 

8:30 AM Shotgun Time                                                  

8:15 AM – All golfers to be ready at their carts.                               

 

Scorecards: Paper scorecards will be provided to all participants for the player’s own notes. All paper scorecards are considered UNOFFICIAL. The official scorecard will be the mobile Golf Genius app scoring. Prior to the tournament, players should download the Golf Genius app. Click HERE for mobile scoring instructions. You will be provided a GGID number on your scorecards and that is the number you type into the app to see your foursome and enter scores.

 

Practice Areas: Driving range with mats located across the road by first tee, putting green and short game area available.

 

Pace of Play:  Pace for this round is 4 hours and 30 minutes. Please ensure that you are keeping within a hole of the group in front of you.

 

AwardsThe Mother Daughter Senior Division, Mother Daughter Junior Division, and the Member Junior each have a permanent trophy that will be engraved with the names of the low gross winners from their respective divisions. The Mother Daughter also has an overall trophy that will be engraved with the names of the low gross winners regardless of division. All ties will be decided by a matching of cards in accordance with USGA recommended method. Prize Certificates (gross & net places) will be given out and must be redeemed at Meadow Brook Golf Club.

 

Rules of Golf: The USGA® Rules of GolfLocal Rules and Terms of Competitions for Mass Golf Tournaments govern all play.

 

Mass Golf Policies & Procedures: Please refer to Policies & Procedures and Pace of Play Policy.

 

Distance-Measuring Devices: Permitted as specified in Mass Golf Policies & Procedures.

 

Bathrooms: Located in the first floor of the clubhouse, locker room, 3rd tee, 5th tee (code 0125)

 

Water and Snacks:  Water stations are available on the course in various locations. There is a snack shack window located on the side of the pro shop for drinks and snack CASH ONLY. Alcohol is available for purchase inside of the clubhouse from 11:30-3:30 CASH ONLY. 

 

Food and Beverage: A lunch buffet will be served from 12:30-3:00 p.m. inside the clubhouse.

 

Additional Information: Practice rounds are available by calling the Pro Shop.
