The North Carolina Senior Women's Amateur Championship began in 2004. The championship determines the senior women's champion of North Carolina. NEW IN 2023: The 1st North Carolina Super Senior Women's Amateur will be held concurrently with the NC Senior Women's Amateur. Both championships are conducted at 36 holes of stroke play. The competition includes gross and net scores and prizes are given for gross and net winners in each flight. Players are pre-flighted within their championship based on Handicap Index®. Entry is open to any female amateur golfer who has reached her 50th birthday by May 23, 2023 (NC Senior Women's Amateur) or who has reached her 65th birthday by May 23, 2023 (NC Super Senior Women's Amateur), is a legal resident of North Carolina, is a member in good standing of a club which is a member of the Carolinas Golf Association and has an active GHIN® USGA Handicap Index®.
