OGA Volunteer Policies and Procedures
Volunteer Waiver and Release Form
Before you can volunteer at a tournament, you must complete a volunteer waiver and release form. This will only need to be completed one time.
Apparel
The OGA will provide each volunteer with the appropriate apparel and name badge. OGA volunteers should wear the standard uniform while working. Dress includes a collared shirt with OGA logo, khaki pants, shorts or skort and your name badge. For any bad weather days, please wear any personal hats, jackets or rain gear to be comfortable on the golf course for your assigned shift.
Golf shoes or tennis shoes are preferred while you are working. Open toed shoes will not be allowed to be worn.
Food and Beverage
On the day you work, the OGA will provide one meal. When you check-in for your shift, the Volunteer Coordinator or Tournament Director will let you know what is available and will take your order. If your shift requires you to be on the golf course, lunch will be delivered to you. We recommend bringing snacks to have with you on the golf course.
The OGA will no longer provide single use water bottles. We will have water stations available to refill water bottles. We recommend bringing your own water bottle to refill at water stations.
Carts
Carts will only be available for Rules Officials, Checkpoint Officials and Volunteer Coordinators. They will no longer be available to Forecaddies.
Lodging
For tournaments that are out of town, the OGA is limited on the number of volunteers it can provide lodging for. The OGA will provide lodging for the volunteers that are crucial to running the tournament. If you have your own lodging for out of town events, please let us know when you sign-up.
