ELIGIBILITY

• Open to VSGA members and Professionals of all ages.
  • Teams may only have one (1) professional or consist of all amateurs.
• Amateur participants must hold an active GHIN number issued by the VSGA member club they are representing and must meet the USGA Rules of Amateur Status.
• Professionals must be affiliated with the VSGA member club they are representing.

ENTRY FEE/DEADLINE

All teams (four players) are required to submit an entry form with the entry fee of $440 by Monday, April 10, 2023.

• Entry fee includes all course fees (including cart) for all rounds of competition.
• The VSGA will negotiate a discounted practice fee with host club.

 

FORMAT

• Each club will enter two two-person sides (any combination of open, senior, super senior, professional).
• Each side will play an 18-hole four-ball stroke play round. The sum of the two four-ball scores will make up the team score.
• The lowest team score from either shotgun will be the overall champions.

 

Sets of Tees

Three (3) sets of tees for men:

• Ages 49 & Under
• Ages 50-64
• Ages 65 & Over

All women will play from the same set of tees as the Men Ages 65 & Over regardless of age.

 

FIELD SIZE/TOURNAMENT MAKE-UP

• The field will be limited to 50 teams.
  • Priority will be given to the top 20 clubs from the previous year's event. The remaining entries will be accepted based on date of paid entry.
  • The host club is guaranteed a spot into the field. 
• Clubs may submit an "A" and a "B" team.
  • All "B" team entries will be prioritized by the date of paid entry behind all "A" team entries.
  • The host club's "B" team will first priority.

 

PRIZES

• The Champion team will have its name engraved on the perpetual trophy and receive additional prizes
• Prizes will be awarded to additional teams based on field size.
  • Amateurs will receive gift certificates to the host club.
  • Professionals will receive a check by mail.
