ELIGIBILITY

• Open to VSGA members who will be at least 50 years of age by May 23, 2023.
• All participants must hold an active GHIN number issued by a licensed VSGA member club in good standing.
• All participants must meet the USGA Rules of Amateur Status.

ENTRY FEES/DEADLINES

Qualifying

Players competing in a qualifier (may only enter one) are required to submit an entry form with the entry fee of $230 per side by  Monday, April 17, 2023. 

• Entry fee includes mandatory course fee for qualifying round.
• $160 of qualifying fees will be applied to the championship entry for successful qualifiers.
• The VSGA will negotiate a discounted practice fee with host clubs.

Successful Qualifiers

Those who successfully qualify are required to pay the entry balance of $240 per side by Wednesday, May 3, 2023.

• Entry fee includes all course fees (including cart) for all rounds of competition.
• The VSGA will negotiate a discounted practice fee with host club.

 

Exempt Sides

Exempt sides competing in the championship are required to submit an entry form with the entry fee of $400 per side by Monday, April 17, 2023.

• Entry fee includes all course fees (including cart) for all rounds of competition.
• The VSGA will negotiate a discounted practice fee with host club.

 

FORMAT

Qualifying

• All non-exempt sides must qualify to play in each championship. 
• A side may only compete in one (1) qualifier.
• The total number of participants at each qualifier will vary by site and will be filled by lowest Handicap Index as of April 17, 2023.
• The number of qualifying spots available at each qualifier will be determined based on participation and will be announced on-site. 
• Qualified sides may not switch partners for the championship.

 

Championship Proper

• 44 sides (includes all qualifiers and exempt sides)
• 36-hole four-ball stroke play competition (18 holes per day)

 

PRIZES

•   The Champions will receive trophies and gift certificates.
• Gift certificates will be awarded to additional sides.
