ENTRY FEE: $250 PER TEAM (ONLY ONE PERSON FROM EACH TEAM NEEDS TO REGISTER AND PAY)
THERE WILL NOT BE A BOYS' 11-13 DIVISION FOR THIS EVENT.
REFUND POLICY: Entry fee will be refunded regardless of reason if LGA office is notified, in writing, before the close of entries. After the close of entries, fee will be refunded only in the event of injury or illness provided notification (accompanied by a doctor’s statement) reaches LGA office by October 27, 2023. A $50 service charge will be deducted from all refunds.
Eligibility: Entries are open to any junior who is an amateur golfer (as defined by the USGA) and is an active member of the Louisiana Junior Golf Tour. Entrants must be 11 years of age by midnight, October 28, 2023, and cannot have reached their 19th birthday by midnight, October 29, 2023. Non-amateurs are not eligible. Entries are subject to rejection at any time (including during the championship) by the LGA. Reasons for rejection may include unbecoming conduct.
Field/Format of Play: Limited to the first 40 team entries. Participants must choose to enter the appropriate division: Boys' Overall 13-18, Girls' 11-18 or Mixed Division. The Overall Boys' division will compete from approximately 6,000 yards. The Girls' division will compete from a forward tee approximately 5,200 yards. Mixed Division teams will compete from the set Boys' and Girls' tees. For all divisions, the front nine during round 1 will be four-ball format and the back nine will be alternate shot. For round two the front nine will be alternate shot and the back nine will be four-ball.
Competitors will not be permitted to use automotive transportation (carts) and/or caddies. All participants will carry their own clubs. Pull carts will be permitted.
Dress Code: Competitors must be neat in appearance and wear appropriate attire. No gym shorts, cutoffs, blue jeans, tee shirts, etc. Shorts must be Bermuda length. Note: Querbes Park is a spikeless facility and all competitors will be required to wear spikeless shoes.
Practice Privileges: Practice privileges are extended to participants in the Tournament at Querbes Park on October 27, 2023. You may call the Querbes Park Golf Shop to book your practice round tee times.
Prizes: Prizes will be awarded to the top three teams in the Overall Boy's division and the top two teams in the Overall Girls' division and the Mixed Division. In case of a tie for the championship in all divisions, a sudden death playoff will take place immediately upon the conclusion of play. All other ties, determining prizes and recognition, will be decided by matching scorecards (also known as "card count-back" or scorecard play-off), per the USGA method in section 5A(6) of the Committee Procedures.
Rules of Golf: Play will be governed by the current USGA Rules of Golf and LGA Rules of Play Card. All questions will be settled by the LGA Rules Committee, whose decision will be final. Automotive transportation (carts) and/or caddies will not be permitted.
