9th Young Golfers’ Amateur Championship

Entry Fee: $60.00

Entries Open: 3/14/2023 at 10:00am

Entries Close: 6/8/2023 at 5:00pm

 

Eligibility:

  • Any amateur golfers who have an active Mass Golf Membership.
  • Age 13 & under as of July 6, 2023

 

Entry Procedures:

Entries and fully paid entry fees must be received through the Mass Golf Online Entry process by 5:00pm EST on the published entry deadline.

 

Format:

Competition will be 18 Holes in a Modified Stableford Format.

 

Field:

The Championship Proper field is limited to 48 players on a first come first served basis.
 

Exemptions (Upon receipt of the online registration and fee, the players in the following categories are exempt from Sectional Qualifying); 2023 Young Golfers' Amateur Championship Exemptions

 

Schedule:
Championship Proper
Round 1 - July 6 (18 Holes)
***Any tie for first place will be decided immediately by a hole-by-hole playoff.

 

Caddies & Automotive Transportation:

Players are not permitted to use caddies or automotive transportation during the Championship Proper.

 

Food & Beverage:

A complimentary luncheon will be provided for all competitors on July 6.

 

Starting Times:

Championship Proper Starting Times & Player Information will be emailed to all competitors shortly after the last qualifier.

 

Prizes:

The Young Golfers’ Amateur Champion will be presented the John W. Goodrich Memorial Trophy. Merchandise certificates will be awarded and are only redeemable at the host site.
 

Trophy:

A take-home Trophy will be presented to the Champion. Merchandise certificates will be awarded to top finishers. 

 

Practice Rounds:

Practice rounds privileges are at the discretion of the qualifying site and championship proper host club(s). Mass Golf will provide details surrounding the availability of practice rounds ahead of the scheduled event; please refrain from contacting the host clubs until specific details are received from Mass Golf.

 

Spectator/Parent Policy:

Please adhere to the Mass Golf Junior Spectator/Parent Policy.

Withdrawal & Refund Policy:

Competitors withdrawing from an event should notify a member of the Mass Golf staff as soon as practicable. Refunds may be processed based on the following criteria:

  • At least seven days prior to the event
    • entry fee minus a $20 administrative fee will be refunded
  • Less than seven days and at least 48 hours prior to the event
    • 50% of entry fee will be refunded
  • Within 48 hours of the event
    • no refunds will be processed
