76th Massachusetts Women's Senior Amateur Championship

Entry Fee: 

$200.00 - Division 1

$115.00 - Division 2

 

Entries Open: 5/10/2023 at 10:00am

Entries Close: 8/3/2023 at 5:00pm

 

Eligibility:

  • Any female amateur golfer (age 50+ as of Aug. 29, 2023) who has an active Mass Golf Membership.
  • Handicap Index® not exceeding 36.0 (at the time of registration).
    • Division 1 – Handicap Index® not exceeding 18.0 (at the time of registration).
    • Division 2 – Handicap Index® between 18.1 – 36.0 (at the time of registration).
  • Have played and posted 5 rounds at any Mass Golf member club/course within 12 months of the entry close date.

 

Entry Procedures:

Entries and fully paid entry fees must be received through the Mass Golf Online Entry process by 5:00pm EST on the published entry deadline.

 

Format:

Division 1 – 36-holes (two days); there will be a cut to the low 50 scorers & ties after 18-holes (if needed)

Division 2 – 18-holes (one day)

 

Playing Handicap (net scores): will be calculated based on the August 25, 2023 Handicap Revision. Handicap Indexes used to determine a competitors Playing Handicap will not exceed 36.0

 

Field:

The Championship Proper field is limited to 120 players. Entries will be selected in the order they are received (first come, first served).

 

Schedule:

Division 1

  • Tuesday, August 29 – Round 1 (18-holes)
    • there will be a cut to the low 50 scorers & ties after 18-holes (if needed)
  • Wednesday, August 30 – Round 2 (18-holes)

 

Division 2

  • Tuesday, August 29 – Round 1 (18-holes)

 

Any tie for first place gross (in any division) will be decided immediately by a hole-by-hole play-off.

 

Caddies & Automotive Transportation:

Cart fee is included in entry fee for Championship Proper. Players may use caddies, pull carts (at the host club(s) discretion) and/or automotive transportation during Sectional Qualifying or Championship Proper.

 

Food & Beverage:

A complimentary luncheon will be provided for all competitors on August 29.

 

Starting Times:

Qualifying Round Starting Times & Player Information will be emailed to all competitors shortly after the close of entries.

Championship Proper Starting Times & Player Information will be emailed to all competitors shortly after the last qualifier.

 

Prizes:

Merchandise certificates will be awarded and are only redeemable at the host site.

 

Trophy:
The Women's Senior Amateur Championship Trophy will be presented to the Champion.

 

Practice Rounds:

Practice rounds privileges are at the discretion of the qualifying site and championship proper host club(s). Mass Golf will provide details surrounding the availability of practice rounds ahead of the scheduled event; please refrain from contacting the host clubs until specific details are received from Mass Golf.

Withdrawal & Refund Policy:

Competitors who have submitted an entry for a Mass Golf event and wish to withdraw for any reason, MUST notify the Mass Golf office (email preferred). Entry fee will be refunded less a $20 administrative fee, regardless of reason, if Mass Golf is notified seven (7) days prior to the event. Entry fee will be refunded less 50% for any withdrawals received less than seven (7) days prior to the event. No refund will be processed for a withdrawal notification that is received on the scheduled date of an event.
