Thank you for your entry into the 96th OGA Team Championship, September 30 – October 1, 2023 at Eagle Crest – Ridge Course. Enclosed you will find the pairings and starting times for both Saturday and Sunday. Also, please note that players

Tournament Information and Results: Will all be provided digitally on the OGA’s website or through the Golf Genius App, GGID: 23OGATEAM.
Practice Rounds: Each player is eligible for one complimentary practice round. Practice rounds can be made on a space available basis after 12:30 pm on Friday September 29 by calling the Eagle Crest Golf Shop at 541-. Practice rounds are for contestants only and will not be extended to guests, or family members. Participants must identify themselves as a Team Championship contestant when calling to make arrangements. Players who wish to use their practice round are expected to abide by all clubs rules and policies including pace of play.
Format and Prizes: This is a 36-hole stroke play competition. The low 3 of 4 individual gross scores each day will represent the team’s aggregate score. Awards will be given on the basis of

Golf Carts: Carts will be available on a first come first served basis. As a reminder, please follow any cart path restrictions posted by Eagle Crest.
Practice: The OGA will host warm up range balls for contestants.
Registration: There will not be any registration, tee prizes will be handed out after the first round.
Food and Beverage: Food and beverage will be available for purchase. Players are encouraged to bring their own drinking water or purchase water at the course.
Prohibited use of Audio Equipment: Rule 4.3 is modified in this way: During a round, a player is not allowed to use an electronic device to listen to music or other audio (such as podcasts or the like), including by using headphones or earbuds. Penalty for breach of Local Rule - see Rule 4.3
Dress Code: Proper attire must be worn at all times. Proper attire does not include spandex body wear, cutoffs, running shorts, short-shorts, tank tops, tee shirts, or denim of any kind or color, or unkempt clothing of any kind. Neat and clean pants, slacks, cords, or appropriately hemmed, tailored shorts no more than 6 inches above the knee (men’s shorts must have a minimum of three pockets) are acceptable, as are sweaters and sweatshirts, golf shirts (men’s must have collars). Shoes must be worn at all times. Contestants not in compliance with the OGA Dress Code will be Disqualified from the championship and removed from the golf course.
Code of Conduct: Contestants are expected to (1) know and play by the Rules of Golf, (2) conduct themselves at all times in a sportsmanlike manner, (3) respect the golf course and the rights of other contestants, (4) fulfill their playing obligations and (5) know and abide by the OGA Pace of Play Policy. If the Committee considers that a player is guilty of a serious breach of etiquette, including but not limited to unsportsmanlike conduct (cheating, damaging the golf course, defacing club property, using loud obscene language, throwing clubs, consuming alcoholic beverages when such consumption: is prohibited by the host facility, is offensive to the contestants fellow competitors and/or causes the contestant’s behavior to become offensive, etc.), it may impose a penalty of DISQUALIFICATION and possible suspension from future play in OGA Championships. Any disciplinary actions imposed on a contestant by the OGA may be formally communicated to a representative of the contestant’s club and/or to any other allied golf association that the OGA deems appropriate.
OGA Pace of Play Guidelines: will be in effect during the championship. Pace of play guidelines will be posted on the OGA website at oga.org.

Score Posting: will be done by the OGA for each round after the championship has been completed. The OGA will post each player’s adjusted score to GHIN as a tournament score, for handicapping purposes.
If you are forced to make any roster changes prior to the championship, please contact the OGA office at your earliest convenience (503-981-4653) so that we may make the necessary starting time and scorecard adjustments.
