Congrats to Hendrik de Koning, who recorded a hole-in-one today during the 40th Rhode Island Stroke Play Championship at Valley Country Club. The 21-year-old from Denver, Colo., used a 50-degree wedge from 118 yards for the ace on No. 6. His brother, Joost, was on the bag. Hendrik will be a senior at Adrian College. He's working in Newport for the summer.
