2023 RDGA Mid Amateur Championship

DATE: Friday - Saturday, August 25-26, 2023

ELIGIBILITY: RDGA Members; men, ages 25 and above

START TIMES: Rd.1 beginning at 7:30 am; Rd.2 beginning at Noon. Both rounds start from No. 1 tee.

ENTRY FEE: $225

REGISTRATION OPENS: Wednesday, February 1, 2023 (9:00 am)

REGISTRATION DEADLINE: Friday, August 18, 2023 (11:59 pm)

FORMAT: The RDGA Mid Amateur Championship features 36 holes of scratch stroke play competition over two days. Tee times begin at 8:00 am - both days off the first tee, paired in threesomes. Players will compete from the Mill Creek Men's Blue Tees (6,535 yards) at par-71, with prizes awarded to the top 1/4 of the field. Ties for first will result in a sudden death playoff to determine the champion.

ABOUT: Now in its 15th year, the RDGA Mid Amateur Championship is open to all male RDGA Members age 25 and over (as of the beginning of each year's tournament). Patterned after the USGA's Mid Amateur, the first RDGA Mid Amateur Championship was held in 2007 as a way to provide a formal competition for local post collegiate-age amateurs, for whom the game is an avocation, rather than a stepping stone to a professional career. Lunch will be provided, free of charge, to contestants on both days.

The top 5 finishers (plus ties) will receive an exemption into the

2024 RDGA District Championship at Irondequoit Country Club.
