Our speaker this year will be David MacKenzie who will present “The Performance Skills we can develop through Golf: How to be your Best on and off the Course”. He is a Mental Coach and the founder of Golf State of Mind. For over 10 years, he has worked with golfers of all levels from amateur to Tour pro on how to develop the mental skills to access their best game more consistently, especially under pressure.
His “Golf State of Mind” website is one of the most popular on-line resources for improving a player’s mental game, with over 350 articles published. David has been featured in Golf Digest and many other golf publications.
His system uses practical tools to develop focus, confidence, awareness, emotional control and mental toughness - the “performance skills” that are trainable and essential for becoming the best you can be.
Even though David works primarily to help golfers to improve their performance on the course, his real sense of purpose from his work comes from how these “performance skills” transcend the game to help people live more fulfilling lives off the course.
