POLICIES, PROCEDURES, & GUIDELINES:

  • Prior to participating, participants should review the SCGA’s Policies & Procedures.
  • The SCGA's mask policy follows in accordance with the CDC and the California Department of Public Health. This is subject to change due to any local guidelines or site protocols. Click here to learn more.

FORMAT:

  • All players on teams will participate in a 36-hole foursomes stroke-play championship (18 holes each day).
  • 66 sides will compete in this championship (33 sides per division – Open & Senior).
  • During each round, partners must play alternately from the teeing areas (i.e. Player A must tee off on the odd holes, and Player B must tee off on all the even holes). Players may reverse this order on the second day of play; however, they are not required to do so.
  • Awards will be given to those who finish in 1st through 5th place in each division. In the event of a tie for first place in either division, there will be a hole-by-hole playoff immediately following the conclusion of regular play.

REGISTRATION:

All sides should check in at the SCGA table near the scoreboard. Registration will begin at 6:30 a.m.

PRACTICE ROUNDS:

  • Players may plan for practice rounds at their own expense. To book a practice round, contact the Director of Golf, Mark Wilson at mwilson@thespanishhillsclub.com or via phone at (805) 341-3201.
  • Practice Round Fee:  $75 per player and includes a golf cart.
  • Practice rounds are a privilege, not a right. The SCGA works with a variety of facilities throughout the course of the year, all of which have unique policies and procedures when it comes to practice rounds. These opportunities will be provided at the sole discretion of the host facility.
  • We are guests and must follow all facility policies and guidelines when on property. Behavior during practice rounds will be subject to the SCGA Code of Conduct.

STARTING TIMES AND PAIRINGS:

  • Starting times and pairings will be e-mailed to players and posted online at scga.org one week in advance of the championship.
  • Starting times will range from 8:30 a.m. – 10:18 a.m. each day.
  • Lead groups should plan to be at their assigned tee 10 minutes in advance of their starting time. Subsequent groups are encouraged to arrive once the preceding group has teed off. Players arriving late will be penalized under Rule 5.3a of the Rules of Golf. For example, the 9:00 a.m. starting time is defined as 9:00:00, and players arriving after that time are considered late.

TEES & YARDAGE:

  • All yardages and course information can be found in the Yardage Information tab located on the Championship Portal.
