Golf Carts:

Each group will be supplied with two golf carts. Carts will be assigned to players by the committee and players names will be on the golf carts.

One Seat Policy Regarding Golf Carts and Caddies:

The "One Seat Policy" is a USGA policy that is employed for U.S. Women's Senior Amateur qualifying. Either the player or their caddie can ride in a golf cart at any one time. But, at no time may BOTH a player and their caddie ride in a golf cart simultaneously. Players and caddies can take turns as desired to help with pace of play and other factors.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Having a caddie is a privilege for this event, not a right. Players AND caddies are required to adhere to all policies, including the pace of play policy set by the committee. If a player/caddie negatively affects their group's pace of play, that player/caddie team will be warned. Failure to return to position may result in the committee requiring that the player complete the remainder of the round without their caddie.

Eligibility:

Entries are open to amateur female golfers who will have reached their 50th birthday by the start of the Championship Proper and have an up-to-date Handicap Index® based on ratings for women not exceeding 14.4 under the USGA Handicap System™. A Handicap Index must be issued from a “golf club” (as defined in the USGA Handicap System Manual) that is authorized to use the USGAHandicap System. The USGA accepts an up-to-date handicap issued from the international body of golf that would be equivalent to a USGA Handicap Index® within the prescribed limit for entry into the Championship.

Clubs: Grooves:

In Sectional Qualifying and in the Championship proper, the Local Rule as prescribed by Section 8 of the Committee Proceduresis in effect. Model Local Rule G-2.

The USGA and The R&A have created a reference resource called the Informational Club Database to assist golfers in determining whether their irons, wedges, hybrids and fairway woods comply with the Equipment Rules effective from 1 January 2010 and are permissible for play under the groove and punch mark Local Rule, which is in effect for all USGA Amateur Championships. For information about and to access the database, please use the following link: http://www.usga.org/InfoClubsDB/intro.html. Caddies:

Qualifying Rounds: A player may provide her own caddie. If she wishes to have the host club furnish a caddie, she should ask the Official in Charge because sufficient caddies may not be available at the host club.

A player is not required to employ a caddie for any stage of the Championship.

Withdrawal from Qualifying:

A player who wishes to withdraw from Qualifying must notify the USGA (908-326-1950 or via e-mail at champs@usga.org) and the Official in Charge (Tim Brand tbrand@snga.org or 702-830-7972) prior to their scheduled qualifying round. Failure to do so may result in disqualification from future USGA competitions.

Transportation:

The player or the player’s caddie may ride in a golf cart during a stipulated round, but both may not ride at the same time. Additionally, the USGA reserves the right to limit or suspend the use of golf carts due to inclement weather, unsafe use of the golf cart or circumstances where use of the golf cart would present a hazard to others, the course officials, the golf course or for other unforeseen circumstances. If the player’s caddie has a disability and the caddie would like to ride in a golf cart throughout the stipulated round in addition to the player, consistent with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), a disabled caddie may be permitted to use of a golf cart as an accommodation to his or her disability. As required by the ADA, the USGA will evaluate such requests on a case-by-case basis. To evaluate such requests, submission of the Golf Cart Request Form for the caddie is required (as well as additional important information for first time and subsequent requests for a golf cart).
