The following are matters pertinent to your participation in the 31st Metropolitan Women’s Amateur Championship on

July 10 & 11, 2023 at Westborough Country Club:

The following supplements the Championship regulations in the 31st Metropolitan Women’s Amateur Championship Entry Application and is in addition to the Local Terms of Competition and Notice to Players (prepared by the Committee and will be issued at the participants starting hole):

  1. Practice: Westborough Country Club will be available to participants for one (1) practice round by calling the golf shop at (314) 968-5180 to schedule a time not disruptive to their Member Play.

  1. Divisions/Flights: There is a Championship Division that will play for the Jayne M. Watson Trophy at Gross Stroke Play.  Net Divisions have been divided into three (3) flights based on USGA Handicap Index, Net Champion and Runner-Up will be decided.  All ties will be decided using the USGA recommended method for breaking ties in Appendix I.

  1. Golf Course Set-Up:      Net Flights A, B and C:   RED TEES

Championship Division: COMBO SET OF BLUE/WHITE (CLICK HERE FOR YARDAGES)

  1. Check-In/Starting Time(s): There is no formal check-in requirement.  Players MUST be ready to play at the starting time and starting hole set by the Committee.  A starting time set by the Committee is treated as an exact time (for example, 9am means 9:00:00am, not any time until 9:01am).

  1. Practice Range: Westborough CC does not have a driving range; however, they do have an area with a net with stations to use for warming up.  If you need a driving range to warm up, it is suggested to visit Family Golf & Learning Center in Kirkwood prior to your round.  Please manage your time if you choose.

  1. Footwear: Westborough Country Club is a spikeless facility.  Shoes with traditionally designed spikes, comprised either partially or entirely of metal, are prohibited.  Penalty for breach of this condition: DISQUALIFICATION.

  1. LIVE Scoring: We will utilize the Golf Genius app for LIVE Scoring during the Championship.  ONE player/caddie in each group will be asked to input scores for each hole during the round.  Each golfer should be prepared to utilize the app for scoring.

  1. Caddies/Carts: A participant may provide his own caddie or carry his own clubs.  Carts are allowed and players are responsible to pay for those carts with the Westborough Golf Shop.

  2. Lunch after Round 2: After the second round, lunch will be provided at Westborough CC.
