We are excited to continue with our third annual Pfanner Cup. This Ryder Cup style event will be held each year in the spirit of Dave Pfannenstein who sadly passed away in April 2020. Dave Served as the Executive Director of the Vermont Golf Association and also was an influential member of the Vermont PGA.

The event will be held at Rutland Country Club on October 8th and 9th. The teams from both the Vermont Golf Association and the Vermont PGA will face-off to raise money to benefit the VGA and VTPGA's Scholarship funds. In addition to golf, there will be a celebration of life dinner to be hosted at the Rutland Country Club on the evening of October 8th. 

Format: Ryder Cup 

• 18 Points Total
• Sunday: 6 Four-Ball Matches
• Monday: 12 Singles Matches

Entry Fee: $150 per player

Registration: Online registration opens on August 26, 2023.

Field: The field will be limited to 24 players, 12 players per team. This annual event will be comprised of Ten Vermont PGA professionals and Two senior PGA professionals competing against Ten Vermont Golf Association members and Two Senior Vermont Golf Association members. Age requirement for seniors will go off of VT PGA policy of 50 years of age or older, and not VGA policy of 55. 

Registration: On-line registration opens on August 26, 2023.

Entry Deadline: Entries must be received by October 1, 2023.

Dress Code: Appropriate golf attire - collared shirts - no denim.  If in doubt, please call the Rutland CC pro shop.
