36-Hole Modified Stableford Championship.

 

FIELD SIZE

224 Players.  

 

ELIGIBILITY

All amateur UGA members with an active handicap index.

 

STARTING TIMES

10:00am shotgun start for both rounds.

 

PRACTICE ROUNDS

Players will be responsible for scheduling their practice round by calling the host club/s.  Any practice round fee will be the responsibility of the player.

 

FLIGHT INFORMATION

Players will be broken into flights within divisions:

 

Men's (112 Maximum)

Women's (32 Maximum)

Senior Men (50+) (48 Maximum)

Super-Senior Men's (60+) (20 Maximum)

Legends Men (70+) (12 Maximum)

 

NOTE: Starting in 2023, all Super-Senior Divisions in UGA Championships will have an age cutoff of 60+

 

Division Capacities:

New in 2023, there will be maximum capacities per division (listed above). These were calculated based on historical data.

As of March 1, 2023, any divisions that have not filled their capacity will have their reserved spots opened to other divisions with waitlists.

WHAT IS MODIFIED STABLEFORD?
Stableford is a form of play in golf where your score on a hole equates to points with the goal being to have the most points.  In modified Stableford the point values for a birdie, par, bogey, etc. are just changed to a different value.  The values are as follows:

 

  • Double Bogey or worse - 0 points
  • Bogey   - 1 point
  • Par  - 2 points
  • Birdie  - 4 points
  • Eagle   - 6 points
  • Double Eagle  - 8 points

 

REFUNDS AND WITHDRAWALS
If a player withdraws prior to the registration deadline the player will receive a refund minus a $20 cancellation fee.  After the deadline, the player will receive a 50% refund.  No refunds will be issued if a player withdraws/no-shows on the day of the event. A business day starts at 12:01 am of that day, and the deadline will be at 4:00pm on the deadline date.
  In team competitions, if a player needs a substitute for his original partner after the field has closed; he must arrange to get the substitute. Any substitute must meet all eligibility requirements of the specified competition. The UGA must be notified of any substitutions prior to the start of the tournament.
