AGES/ ELIGIBILITY

 Open to two-man teams of male amateur golfers ages 55 or older as of November 8 and who have a maximum handicap differential of six strokes.  Handicap differentials above six strokes will be adjusted down off the low player index.

$500 (per team)

FIELD SIZE

The 48 teams with the lowest combined USGA Handicap Indexes compete in the Championship.

FORMAT

54 holes of flighted, four-ball stroke play. 

PRACTICE ROUND

One practice round per player. Practice rounds will be available on the designated times below two weeks prior to the competition. Please call Sunset Hills Country Club to reserve your practice round starting time after you have received your acceptance confirmation on October 26th. 

The practice round cart/range fee is $50 to be paid to the host club at time of practice round.​​​​​

A combination of tee markers and yardages will be utilized for the championship. A practice yardage sheet will be available after the close of entries on the event portal page. Practice yardage sheets will also be available at the club. Yardages are approximate and may be adjusted due to inclement weather or other factors that may affect the playing conditions during the competition.

GOLF SHOP & DRIVING RANGE

The golf shop and driving range will open at 7:00 a.m. each day of competition.

STARTING TIMES

Starting times for tournament play will be assigned by the GSGA and posted at the club the day before the competition starts. You may visit www.gsga.org for complete pairing information and starting times beginning on November 1.  

REGISTRATION

No formal registration will be held on site. Player/team withdraws must be called or e-mailed to the GSGA office at (678) 324-5969 or to JFAGES@GSG.ORG so that an alternate may be contacted.

CARTS

Practice carts and range fees are $50 plus tax. Tournament round cart and range fees are included in the entry fee.

FOOD SERVICE

The grill will be open for lunch each day of the competition.  Cash and credit cards will be accepted.

REFUND POLICY

A $30 service charge will be retained by the GSGA on all refunds granted prior to the close of entries. Entry fees will not be refunded after entries close unless there is a waiting list and your spot can be filled. Withdraws after the close of entries must be made by calling the GSGA Rules and Competitions Department at (770) 955-4272 or (800) 949-4742 or via email.
