**GAP Entry Policies**

 

Registration Fee: $50 per player. 

 

Registration Opens: June 1 at 9 a.m.

Registration Closes: June 29 at 11:59 p.m.

 

Format: 36-hole individual stroke play.

 

Eligibility: Open to members of GAP Member Clubs who are between 14 and 18 years of age, as long as they have not started their college career and have not reached their 19th birthday by the day of the event. Players must have a Handicap Index of 7.0 or lower. Any player who qualifies for the Junior Boys’ Championship (Championship Flight) or competes in the First Flight Final and whose Handicap Index is more than 7.0 will be eligible to compete. 

 

Field Size: Limited to 78. Admission is as follows: the lowest handicaps of those entered or those who qualified for match play in the Junior Boys’ Championship (Championship Flight) or those who competed in the First Flight Final. Any ties at the highest acceptable Handicap Index will be settled by lot.  

 

Practice Rounds: Practice rounds have not been made available for this event.

 

Starting Times: Begin at 7:30 a.m. with 10-minute intervals starting on Nos. 1 and 10.

 

Automotive Transportation: Not permitted.

 

Caddies: A player may carry his own bag, bring his own caddie, use a push cart or hire a Gulph Mills caddie. Players must contact Gulph Mills in advance to request a caddie.  Gulph Mills caddies will not be available on the day of the event and must be requested in advance.  A player may not use any parent or relative - 19 years of age or older - as a caddie during any phase of the competition. If the host facility allows the use of push carts, then a player may use a push cart during the event.

  

Prizes: The 24th Christman Cup Champion will receive 4 performance stars and the top 4 will receive 1 performance star for the AJGA Performance Based Entry system. 

 

Ties: Sudden-death playoff for the championship. All ties to be broken by using the USGA-recommended scorecard tiebreaking method.
