ENTRY FEE: $125
REFUND POLICY: Entry fee will be refunded regardless of reason if LGA office is notified, in writing, before the close of entries. After the close of entries, fee will be refunded only in the event of injury or illness provided notification (accompanied by a doctor’s statement) reaches LGA office by July 31, 2023. A $25 service charge will be deducted from all refunds.
Eligibility: Entries are open to the first 78 players. There are allotted spots for each division. If allotted spots are not filled for a division, those spots will then be given to players on the waiting list. Players must be an active 2023 member of the Louisiana Junior Golf Tour. Non-amateurs are not eligible. Entries are subject to rejection at any time (including during the championship) by the LGA. Reasons for rejection may include unbecoming conduct.
Field/Format of Play: Limited to the first 78 entries. Participants must choose to enter the appropriate divsion (Overall Boys (13-18), Boys (11-13) or Overall Girls (13-18)) The Overall Boys' division will compete from approximately 6,600 yards. The Overall Girls' and Boys' (11-13) will compete from a forward tee approximately 5,700 yards. Participants must declare his/her participation in the division which they intend to compete during registration.
AJGA Stars: AJGA stars will be awarded for the 13-18 Overall Boys' Division.
Champion: Recieves 4 AJGA PBE Stars
Top 10%: Recieves 1 AJGA PBE Star
If any other age division reaches the requirements given by the AJGA before the start of the tournament, we will try to retroactivley get the respective age division approved.
Dress Code: Competitors must be neat in appearance and wear appropriate attire. No gym shorts, cutoffs, blue jeans, tee shirts, etc. Shorts must be Bermuda length. Important Note: The University Club is a spikeless facility and all competitors will be required to wear spikeless shoes.
Practice Privileges: Practice privileges are extended to participants in the championship at The University Club on Monday, July 31st, between 12PM-3PM. The range will be open during the practice round from 11AM-3PM. Please contact the golf shop to schedule your practice round.
LSU Football Facility Tour: As a thank you for supporting the LJGT, for LJGT at U-Club participants only, and one parent, there will be a tour of the LSU Football Operations Building given on Monday morning, July 31st, the day of the practice round. Please email jake@lgagolf.org before July 26th at 5PM to RSVP, or if you have any questions.
Carts: Spectator Carts will NOT be availble for tournament days per U-Club's Tournament Policy and request. For the practice round, only parents will be allowed to rent a cart for the $36 cart fee. Players will have to walk for the practice round, unless they are riding with a parent, per U-Club's policy.
Prizes: Crystal prizes will be awarded to the top three finishers in the Overall Boys division and the Overall Girls division. The top two finishers in the Boys 11-13 division will receive a crystal prize. A medal will be awarded to the top finisher aged 15-and-under in the Overall Boys division.
Rules of Golf: Play will be governed by the current USGA Rules of Golf and LGA Rules of Play Card. All questions will be settled by the LGA Rules Committee, whose decision will be final. Automotive transportation (carts) and/or caddies will not be permitted.
