FORMAT

Tour Championship - 36-hole Stroke Play
Senior & Women's Tour Championship Division(s) - 18-hole Stroke Play (Monday only)

 

PLAYOFFS

The Championship tie will be decided by a “sudden victory” playoff immediately following the conclusion of play. Any competitor involved in a playoff and not immediately available assumes the last playoff position.

 

SKINS

Skins will be conducted using the following guidelines - $20 per round.

 

PRACTICE ROUNDS

There will be a designated practice round block on Sunday, September 24th after 2:00pm.  Alternatively, players can call the pro shop directly and book after our member tee time lottery has been conducted for the day desired. The St. Catharines member tee time lottery is conducted three days in advance, after 12pm.

 

AT THE RANGE

  • The range on the property will be open and balls will be stacked for the event on the tee. Please note that the St. Catharines range is a short range and that only irons are permitted. Competitors will have full access to the short game area as well.

 

CARTS AND ON-COURSE EQUIPMENT

  • A two cart per group rule is in effect.
  • Competitors may walk or make arrangements with the host club for the use of a motorized golf cart. Players must adhere to the host facility cart rules.
  • Players can purchase carts in the shop for $25 plus HST per person where they will receive their cart key.

 

WATER ON COURSE

We have a fieldhouse (halfway house in which players will pass three times during the round) where a filtered water station is located, along with essentially being a full-service restaurant.  There are also filtered water stations at both the pro shop (right beside the first tee) and at our tenth tee.

 

CADDIES

Caddies are welcome.

 

SPECTATORS

Spectators are welcome.

DRESS CODE

Competitors must adhere to the PGA of Ontario Dress Code which is also available in the competitor registration package.

 

**Appropriate footwear must be worn at all times. Open-toed footwear, (sandals of any type/flip flop style footwear) will not be permitted into host venue Clubhouses prior to or upon completion of any Ontario Zone sanctioned round.

 

MEASURING DEVICES
A player may obtain distance information by using a device that: MEASURES DISTANCE ONLY
However, if a distance measuring device has additional functionality that can gauge or measure other conditions that might affect a player’s play (e.g. elevation change, wind speed, etc.), the use of any such additional function would be a breach of Rule 4.3a.

 

ELECTRONIC AUDIO OR VIDEO DEVICES
During a round, a player must not listen to or watch content of any nature on a personal audio or video device. Rule 4.3

  • Penalty for first breach from single act or related acts: Two Strokes
  • Penalty for second breach unrelated to first breach: Disqualification

 

ALCOHOL AND DRUG POLICY

 

Stroke Play Event Alcohol Policy

  • The consumption of alcohol before or during any PGA of Ontario stroke play event or Playing Ability Test is strictly prohibited. Violation of this policy is considered conduct unbecoming of a Member of the PGA of Ontario, and swift penalty will be issued by the Tournament Captain and PGA of Ontario office.

 

Team Event Alcohol Policy

  • The PGA of Ontario will allow the purchase of alcohol from the host facility during team events only. This policy will be reviewed following each event and if any issues arise (including, but not limited to, professional conduct, alcohol abuse, or liability), this policy will be revoked immediately. Penalties will be issued based on any Professional violating Liquor Laws, our Tournament Policy and/or the  PGA Code of Professional Conduct and Safe Sport Policy.

 

Drug Policy

  • The PGA of Ontario will abide by each facility's drug policy.

 

ANTI-DOPING POLICY
