POLICIES, PROCEDURES, & GUIDELINES:

FORMAT:
Teams will play the 16-point game, as outlined in the 2022 Scratch League Manual. Awards will be given to the team with the highest point total at the conclusion of play.
The November 21st Handicap Index will be used to order lineups, with Professionals playing in the 1st slot. If the team does not have a professional, the team will be ordered by Handicap Index with the lowest index playing in the 1st slot. Lineups must be submitted to champs@scga.org no later than Wednesday, November 23rd.
REGISTRATION:
All Team Captains must check-in at the SCGA registration table prior to their starting time. Players will check in to the Golf Shop to obtain their golf carts.
STARTING TIMES & PAIRINGS:
- Starting times will range from 7:00 a.m. to approximately 8:00 a.m.
- Players are encouraged to arrive at their assigned tee well in advance of their starting time, as the SCGA starter will have information to discuss with each player in the group. Furthermore, players arriving late will be penalized under Rule 5.3a of the Rules of Golf. For example, the 9:00 a.m. starting time is defined as 9:00:00, and players arriving after that time are considered late. Lead groups should plan to be at their assigned tee 10 minutes in advance of their starting time. Subsequent groups are encouraged to arrive once the preceding group has teed off.
TEES & YARDAGE:
Play will be from the SCGA tee markers. Hole-by-hole yardage can be found in the "Yardage Information" section in California Scratch League Championship tab.
Course Rating: 75.2 / Slope: 143 / Approx. 7,085 yards / Par: 72.
PRACTICE ROUNDS:
- Practice rounds may be arranged at the player’s expense by contacting the Golf Shop at 760-601-3680 and ask for Joe Fritz, Tournament Director. The SCGA and Classic Club request that practice rounds be limited to those team members who will be participating in the Championship match.
- Rates will be $155 for weekdays and $185 for weekend. Rates include cart, practice range balls, a $25 food voucher, and an embroidered microfiber towel.
- Practice rounds are a privilege, not a right. The SCGA works hard with a variety of facilities throughout the course of the year, all of which have unique policies and procedures when it comes to practice rounds. These opportunities will be provided at the sole discretion of the host facility.
- We are guests and must follow all facility policies and guidelines when on property. Behavior during practice rounds will be subject to the SCGA Code of Conduct.
