2022 Mother Daughter Modified Scotch / Member Junior Tournament

Entry Fee: $200/18 Hole Divisions

 

Entries Open: 5/10/2022 at 10:00am

 

Entries Close: 6/30/2022 at 5:00pm

 

Eligibility: 

  • Two person teams
  • Mothers and Daughters as well as unrelated Women and Juniors teams
  • Amateur golfers who have an active Mass Golf Membership with a Handicap Index® not exceeding 54.0.0 (as determined by the Handicap Revision on the date of entry)
  • Players with a Handicap Index of higher than 36.0 will be limited to a 36.0 Playing Handicap™
  • Mothers/Grandmothers can play with up to two daughters.
  • The term “Mother” includes Grandmothers and Great-Grandmothers. The term “Daughter” includes Granddaughter, Great-Granddaughter, and Daughter-in-law.

 

Division 1: Daughters 19 years and older.

Division 2: Daughters 18 years and younger.

 

Member/Junior Modified Scotch Tournament:

Juniors 18 years and under

Age as of July 11, 2022.

 

Entry Procedures: Entries and fully paid entry fees must be received through the Mass Golf Online Entry process by 5:00pm EST on the published entry deadline.

 

Field: Entries will be on a first come, first served basis. After the field is full a waitlist will automatically start.

 

Format: Both golfers hit their tee shot and select which drive they want to use. Then they play alternate shots into the hole.

 

Handicaps: 60% of lower handicap plus 40% of higher handicap. Indexes computed on June 21st, 2022.                   

 

Tees: Mass Golf Red Tees.

 

Caddies & Automotive Transportation: Cart fee is included in entry fee. Caddies and pull carts (at the host club(s) discretion) are permitted.

 

Food & Beverage: Mass Golf will be providing a complimentary lunch for all competitors.

 

Starting Time: 8:30 AM Shotgun Start. 

 

Awards:  Overall and Division Trophies are engraved with names of gross winners. Ties honored for first place gross only. All other ties will be decided by matching cards in accordance with USGA® recommended method. Prize certificates to be used at host club. 

 

Practice Rounds: Mass Golf and Witinsville Golf Club are in communication to determine practice round availability. Please check back here for further updates.

 

Rules of Golf: The USGA Rules of Golf, Local Rules and Terms of Competitions for Mass Golf Tournaments govern all play.

 

Mass Golf Policies & Procedures: Please refer to Policies & Procedures and Pace of Play Policy. 

 

Distance-Measuring Devices: Permitted as specified in Mass Golf Championship Policies & Procedures.

 

Withdrawal & Refund Policy: Competitors who have submitted an entry for a Mass Golf event and wish to withdraw for any reason, MUST notify the Mass Golf office (email preferred). Entry fee will be refunded less a $20 administrative fee, regardless of reason, if Mass Golf is notified seven (7) days prior to the event. Entry fee will be refunded less 50% for any withdrawals received less than seven (7) days prior to the event. No refund will be processed for a withdrawal notification that is received on the scheduled date of an event.
