2022 SDGA Mid-Amateur Championship

Seneca Falls GC (Seneca Falls, NY) & Highland Park GC(Auburn, NY) | August 26-27, 2022

 

Terms of the Competition

ELIGIBILITY

This championship is open to male amateur golfers who meet the following requirements:

  • Membership: Players must hold an active USGA/GHIN Handicap Index at a 2022 SDGA Member Club or be a member of the NYSGA eClub of Central NY (residence required in SDGA territory).

  • Age: Players must be at least 25 years old as of August 26, 2022.

  • USGA Handicap Index: Players must have an active USGA Handicap Index issued through a licensed golf club of no more than 8.4

 

FIELD SIZE AND WAIT LIST

The field is limited to the 48 lowest handicap players at the entry deadline.

 

ENTRIES, DEADLINE, AND REFUND POLICY

  • Entries: An entry must be submitted online with payment prior to the deadline. Late entries will not be accepted, regardless of reason.

  • Entry Fee: $120. This includes two rounds with golf, carts and lunch after Saturday's round, prizes, and awards.

  • Deadline: Entries must be received prior to the deadline (12PM EST on Friday, August 19, 2022). Late entries will not be accepted, regardless of reason.

  • Refund Policy: The entry fee, less a $20 service fee, will be refunded if a player withdraws 24 hours prior to the start of the event.

 

FORMAT

  • Format: The format is 36 holes of individual stroke play (no cut).
  • Yardage: The course will be set up to play approximately 6,450 yards (Blue Tees) at Seneca Falls GC and approximately 6,350 yards (Blue Tees) at Highland Park GC.

 

RULES

All play will be governed by the USGA Rules of Golf. Players will be provided a "Notice to Players" rules sheet containing local rules and conditions. The SDGA will have volunteer Rules Officials on the course to provide rulings and answer questions.

Saturday, August 27 // Round 2 Highland Park GC // Tee times begin at 11:00am-11:45pm.*
 
*Round 2 tee times are based off score (highest start first).

 

PRACTICE ROUNDS

Seneca Falls: (Must be entered in field) $25 includes cart. Call Pro Shop in advance for tee times (315.568.2676). Highland: Normal Green Fee rate. Call for tee time (315.252.4993)

 

PLAYER LUNCH ON SATURDAY

A complimentary lunch ticket will be provided to players on Saturday to be used at the snack bar.

 

FOOD & BEVERAGE

Seneca Falls: The club's Falls Pub Grille will be open at 10:30am. Cash, credit, Apple/Android are accepted. Highland: Kitchen will be open.

 

GOLF CARTS

The golf cart rental fee is included in the entry fee. All players must ride.

 

RANGE

Seneca Falls CC: $8 for large bucket- limited distance range (170yards)
Note: Silver Creek Golf Club has a range. 1790 East River Road, Waterloo, NY 13165

 

Highland Park: $7 per bucket

 

AWARDS

Trophies will be awarded to the winners.

 

PRIZES

Prize cards to the host pro shops will be awarded to approximately 1/4 of the field.
