PAO Meeting & Golf Details
Players should arrive to the main clubhouse and drop off there their golf club when they first arrive (This is important so DuPont staff can get clubs loaded up in advance). We can have a small registration table with name tags at the front door or entry to the meeting room. DuPont will provide a continental breakfast and coffee station in the meeting room. DuPont will supply a projector and screen for us to use for a short PowerPoint. My goal for the "presentation" portion of the meeting is to keep it short and sweet. I will ask each PAO committee chair to prepare one or two slides highlighting and reviewing their respective areas. We can have a meeting agenda created and handed out in advance. Geoff, I will have to connect with you to see if I am missing anything regarding the meeting.
Teaching Seminar: Once the meeting concludes, the group will exit the main clubhouse and take golf carts to the Learning Center which is across the street. Players will be organized on carts by their starting holes and with their golf clubs. We are thrilled to have two best in state golf instructors join us for this year's meeting (John Bierkan and Mark Schefic). Assuming we have a large enough group with 30 plus players, we will break into two groups (I have a call schedule to see exactly how John and Mark would like to do this). DuPont has some scheduled maintenance to their Learning Center on this day so we will not have access to the entire space, but they will have at least a few indoor/outdoor bays available for us. Hopefully, the weather is nice and we can do the majority of it outside. I am thinking about having each guy cover a topic of their choice and speak to each group for 30-40 minutes before switching. Can someone from the Section take pictures during the seminar?
Golf: Following the teaching seminar (approx. 11:15-11:30), players can go directly into warming up for their round since they will already be at the practice facility. Prior to the shotgun, players will cross the street and return back to main clubhouse. Here players can pick up their boxed lunch, and get ready for tournament announcements. DuPont will provide a speaker for pre round remarks. There will be a beverage cart with drinks & snacks available for players at the turn (cash). John and Mark have been invited to play golf with DuPont's HP Mike Caldwell if they like.
