2022 Curtis Bowl Scotch Tournament

Entry Fee: $200/18 Holes
Entries Open: 03/15/2022 at 10:00am
Entries Close: 06/7/2022 at 5:00pm
Eligibility:
- Two women teams
- Amateur golfers who have an active Mass Golf Membership with a Handicap Index® up to 54.0 (as determined by the Handicap Revision on the date of entry)
- Players with a handicap index of higher than 36.0 will be limited to a 36.0 Playing Handicap™
Entry Procedures: Entries and fully paid entry fees must be received through the Mass Golf Online Entry process by 5:00pm EST on the published entry deadline.
Field: Entries will be on a first come, first served basis. After the field is full a waitlist will automatically start.
Format:
- 18 holes of Scotch format (commonly know as Foursomes)
- One partner must play first from the teeing area of all odd numbered holes, while the other partner must play first on all even numbered holes. After the side’s first stroke from the teeing area, the partners must alternate strokes for the rest of the hole.
- Gross and Net Divisions
Handicaps: 50% of combined team handicaps. Indexes computed on June 7, 2022.
Tees: Mass Golf Red Tees.
Caddies & Automotive Transportation: Cart fee is included in entry fee. Caddies and pull carts (at the host club(s) discretion) are permitted.
Food & Beverage: Mass Golf will be providing a complimentary lunch for all competitors.
Starting Time: Shotgun start at 10:00 AM.
Awards: The Curtis Bowl Scotch has a permanent trophy that will be engraved with the names of the low gross winners. Ties for overall gross will be honored. Other ties will be decided by a matching of cards in accordance with USGA recommended method. Prize Certificates (gross & net places) will be given out to be redeemed at the host club.
Rules of Golf: The USGA Rules of Golf, Local Rules and Terms of Competitions for Mass Golf Tournaments govern all play.
Mass Golf Policies & Procedures: Please refer to Policies & Procedures and Pace of Play Policy.
Distance-Measuring Devices: Permitted as specified in Mass Golf Championship Policies & Procedures.
Withdrawal & Refund Policy: Competitors who have submitted an entry for a Mass Golf event and wish to withdraw for any reason, MUST notify the Mass Golf office (email preferred). Entry fee will be refunded less a $20 administrative fee, regardless of reason, if Mass Golf is notified seven (7) days prior to the event. Entry fee will be refunded less 50% for any withdrawals received less than seven (7) days prior to the event. No refund will be processed for a withdrawal notification that is received on the scheduled date of an event.
