ENTRY PROCEDURE: Contestants shall apply on official OGA entry blank or online at www.ohiogolf.org. Entry fee refund available only for medical reasons after deadline date, August 15, 2022, 11:59 p.m. All refunds are subject to a $15 service fee. Late or incomplete applications not accepted. No telephone entries. On-line entry is available at WWW.OHIOGOLF.ORG.
APPLICANTS: Must be (1) a male who has reached their 25th birthday on or before August 22, 2022; (2) an active WHS index of 6.4 or less; (3) a resident of the State of Ohio*. In order to pay the member fee, entrant must have an active WHS Handicap Index at an OGA member club. A list of member clubs may be found at www.ohiogolf.org.
A resident is defined as meeting four (4) of the nine (9). 1. Ownership or leasing of Ohio residence 2. Proof of payment of utilities at property for which residency is being claimed 3.Ohio homestead exemption declared on residence 4. Place of employment in Ohio 5.Ohio Driver’s License 6.Ohio Vehicle registration 7. Ohio address listed on federal income tax return filed by player 8. Has a WHS handicap at a golf club in Ohio. 9. Voter registration in Ohio.
All entries shall be deemed to be by invitation and are subject to OGA Board acceptance.
CHAMPIONSHIP INFORMATION: Championship field is 144 players
Round 1 (18 holes)—Monday, August 22, 2022
Round 2 (18 holes)—Tuesday, August 23, 2022 cut to the low 40 and ties after 36 holes.
Round 3 (18 holes)—Wednesday, August 24, 2022
Barrington GC Shop credit awarded based on field size; top 5 and ties become exempt for 2023 Ohio Amateur Championship. Exemption amount may increase based on field size.
REGISTRATION: No Registration on Monday. Players will receive any items at their starting hole.
PRACTICE ROUND: After entering, players may call Barrington GC to make a practice round tee time between August 9 and August 21. Practice rounds will cost $50 including cart. Call 330-995-0667
CADDIES: A player must not have another player who has or will compete in the same round as his or her caddie during the round. Penalty for breach of Local Rule: The player gets the general penalty for each hole during which he or she is helped by such a caddie. If the breach happens or continues between two holes, the player gets the general penalty for the next hole. Modern Local Rule 8H.
SHOES: During a round, a player must not wear shoes with
•Traditional spikes—that is, spikes having single or multiple points designed to penetrate deeply into the surface of the ground (regardless of whether made of metal, ceramic, plastic or other materials.)
•Spikes of any design that are entirely or partially made of metal, if such metal may come in contact with the course.

PAIRINGS: Pairings will be emailed to all contestants and posted to www.ohiogolf.org.
LUNCH: Lunch included in entry fee Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday for contestants. Only those making the 36 hole cut will receive lunch on Wednesday.
