Your path to the 2022 Ohio Amateur goes through Dayton Country Club. To help you prepare for your Qualifying Round on Tuesday, May 31, we have enclosed information for your review. 

 

STARTING ASSIGNMENTS FOR TUESDAY, MAY 31

 

QUALIFYING POSITIONS:   The low 26 Qualifying scores and 3 Alternates will be determined. All ties for the final qualifying positions and alternate positions will be decided by a Hole-by-Hole sudden victory playoff. Playoff Holes will be #1, #8 & #9. It is the competitor's responsibility to be in position for the playoff at the conclusion of the qualifying round.

 

NO REGISTRATION: No registration is required. Please ensure you reach your starting tee 10 minutes prior to your tee time.

AS A REMINDER: Electronic Measuring Devices are NOW ALLOWED and all clubs must meet the grove requirements outlined on the Championship Entry.

 

CADDIES:   Players may bring their own caddies and this includes parents/legal guardians, however, a player who is playing in the same qualifying event may not caddie in the morning or afternoon wave opposite from their own starting.

 

TRANSPORTATION:  Carts are permitted at qualifying, weather permitting, but MUST be rented from the golf shop.  No group may have more than two carts and if only two people are riding, then one cart per group.  If you have a caddie, the caddie or player may have to walk if the cart is shared with another player.   

 

PULL CARTS: are permitted but you must bring your own.  

 

REGISTRATION: No registration is required. Please ensure you reach your starting tee 10 minutes prior to your tee time.

 

SPECTATOR CARTS ARE PROHIBITED, NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE GRANTED

 

SUPPORT MATERIAL: Hole Locations, Notice to Player (local rules) and OGA Hard Card (local rules) will be posted to the event portal on or before May 30 and available on your starting hole.   

 

SCORING: The printed scorecard will be official and will need a signature from the player and marker to be certified. Immediately after your round please proceed to the Official Scoring Area, located inside the Clubhouse, enter next to the Golf Shop. Volunteer Scoring Stations will be stationed every three holes, please communicate your scores to them as you pass by their locations

 

SCORES: will be posted to your World Handicap Record

 

SPECIAL NOTES AND REMINDERS:

--No Denim, Cargo shorts or cargo pants.  

--Collared Shirts are required.  

--No Shoes with traditional spikes including ceramic or metal. 

--A player who is playing in the same round is not permitted to caddie. 

--Limited food & beverage will be available.  

--One Ball Rule not in effect.  

--Electronic Measuring Devices (as long as all other features are turned off) are permitted by the Rules of Golf.  

--We DO NOT play the local rule for Lost Ball/Ball out of Bounds. If your ball is lost outside of a penalty area or lost out of bounds, you must return to the spot of your previous stroke with a 1 stroke penalty.    

 

PRACTICE ROUNDS: Dayton CC is experiencing high demand from member play.  Practice Round availability is limited to after 1:00 p.m. on May 29, 30.  Please call 937-294-3352.  Cost is $50 including cart.
