POLICIES, PROCEDURES, & GUIDELINES:
- Prior to participating, participants should review the SCGA’s Policies & Procedures.
- The SCGA's mask policy follows in accordance with the CDC and the California Department of Public Health. This is subject to change due to any local guidelines or site protocols. Click here to learn more.
TEAM ROSTER:
- Team Captains must have their lineups in the Portal no later than 12 p.m. on Tuesday, April 19, 2022.
FORMAT:
- 18-hole individual and four-ball match play, utilizing the current Handicap Index as of Monday April 18, 2022.
- Awards will be given to those who accumulate the most four-ball and singles points in total.
- In the event of a tie, the total points earned by Club A’s teams 1 and 2 (both four-ball and individual matches) shall be compared to the total points earned by Club B’s teams 1 and 2. The Club with the most points wins the tiebreaker and the match. If a tie still exists, the total points earned by each club’s teams 3 and 4 will be compared. If a tie still exists, this same procedure will be used for teams 5 and 6, then 7 and 8 until a winner is determined.
REGISTRATION/TEAM PHOTOS:
- We would like all team members to be present at the golf course no later than 7 a.m. and captains only to register with SCGA staff at that time. A team photo will be taken at 7:15 a.m. near the driving range. SCGA staff will make announcements and cover rules for the day after photos.
PRACTICE ROUNDS:
- Players may make arrangements for practice rounds at their own expense by contacting Rams Hill GC at (760) 767-3500 and ask for Robert Reid. Practice rounds are available at the course’s discretion and based upon availability. Please identify yourself as a participant in the SCGA Team Play Championship when calling.
- Practice rounds are a privilege, not a right. The SCGA works with a variety of facilities throughout the course of the year, all of which have unique policies and procedures when it comes to practice rounds. These opportunities will be provided at the sole discretion of the host facility.
- We are guests and must follow all facility policies and guidelines when on property. Behavior during practice rounds will be subject to the SCGA Code of Conduct.
STARTING TIMES AND PAIRINGS:
- Starting times and pairings will be e-mailed to players and posted online at scga.org one week in advance of the championship.
- The Championship will be an 8 a.m. shotgun for both the Thursday and Saturday Championships. Additionally, there are NO tee times available for alternates to play.
- Lead groups should plan to be at their assigned tee 10 minutes in advance of their starting time. Subsequent groups are encouraged to arrive once the preceding group has teed off. Players arriving late will be penalized under Rule 5.3a of the Rules of Golf. For example, the 9:00 a.m. starting time is defined as 9:00:00, and players arriving after that time are considered late.
