VSGA Four-Ball Championship/Senior Four-Ball Championship Qualifying 

  

ELIGIBILITY 

Four-Ball Championship - Open to VSGA members of all ages. Senior Four-Ball Championship - Open to VSGA members that are at least 50 years of age as of May 23, 2022. Participants must hold an active GHIN number issued by a licensed VSGA Member Club in good standing and meet the USGA Rules of Amateur Status. ENTRY FEES/DEADLINES 

Qualifying 

Players competing in a qualifier (may only enter one) are required to submit an entry form with the entry fee of $210 per side by  Monday, April 18, 2022. 

 

Continued for 2022 – The mandatory course fee, previously paid by each player directly to the host club, is included in the qualifying entry fee. 

$150 of the qualifying fees will be applied to the championship entry fees for successful qualifiers (see below for championship balances).  

 

Successful Qualifiers 

Those who successfully qualify are required to pay the entry balance of $240 per side by May 9, 2022 which includes all course fees (including cart) for all rounds of competition. In addition, the VSGA will negotiate a discounted practice round fee with the host club. 

 

FORMAT 

All non-exempt sides must qualify to play in each championship. The total number of participants at each qualifier will vary by site and will be filled by lowest Handicap Index as of April 18, 2022. The number of qualifying spots available at each qualifier will be determined based on participation and will be announced on-site. 

 

 

VSGA Four-Ball Championship Information 

 

May 16-17 at Bay Creek Resort (Cape Charles, VA) 

 

FORMAT 

44 sides (includes all qualifiers and exempt players). 36-hole Four-Ball Stroke Play competition.
