Clubhouse Availability - The clubhouse, locker rooms, restaurant and halfway house are available for all competitors.  

 

Eligibility -
 

National Car Rental Philadelphia Assistant PGA Professional Championship Eligibility:

 

1. Must be eligibly employed and hold an A-8 or B-8 membership classification by the entry deadline and the 1st round of the Championship.

*As a reminder, all B membership classifications (Except B-8) are not eligible for the Philadelphia Assistant PGA Professional Championship and Assistant PGA Professional Championship (PGA of America Board Approval - September 2021).

 

2. Must not have played in more than eight (8) combined Adams Pro Tour (APT), Asian Tour, Dakotas Tour, European Challenge Tour, European Senior Tour, European Tour, GPro Tour (beginning 1/1/2022), JPGA Senior Tour, JPGA Tour, Korn Ferry Tour, Ladies European Tour (LET), Symetra Tour (LPGA), LPGA Tour, Mackenzie TOUR-Canada (including the Forme Tour), PGA Australia Tours, PGA New Zealand Tours, PGA TOUR, PGA TOUR Champions, PGA TOUR-China, PGA TOUR LatinoAmerica, SwingThought Tour, The Safari Tour and The Sunshine Tour tournaments. The U.S. Open, U.S. Senior Open, U.S. Women’s Open, PGA Championship, KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship and KPMG Women’s PGA Championship are not included in the 8-tournament count.

 

PGA Tournament Corporation, Inc., reserves the right to determine whether any player meets eligibility and to reject any player who does not meet these requirements.

 

A PGA Member or Associate will not be eligible to participate if:

 

  1. The Member or Associate is serving a suspension from membership
  2. The Member or Associate is suspended from tournament participation for national tournaments; or
  3. The Member or Associate is classified as Class F, Reserve, A-3, Retired Member, Life Member Retired or Honorary.

 

Facility Fees - All facility fees have been included in your entry fee along with lunch. 

 

Field Size - The field size is limited to 84 players.

 

Format - Individual stroke play.

POY Points Event - This is a PAO POY points event.

 

Purse - The purse is TBD based on 84 players in the field plus additional sponsor dollars.

 
Qualifying Spots - 5 players will advance to the 46th National Car Rental Assistant PGA Professional Championship based on a rolling average number of players in the Section event over the last 5 years. There will also be 4 alternate spots available.
 
Registration - New for 2022, registration for the Philadelphia Assistant PGA Professional Championship will be managed by the Philadelphia PGA Section via Golf Genius and not the PGA of America.  


Please make note of the tournament registration deadline below.  It is possible that a late entry will be permitted to play in the event as long as there is room in the event and the player was eligible as of the tournament entry deadline.  There is no guarantee with a player that missed the deadline and is eligible by the tournament entry deadline that he/she will get into the event.

Successful qualifiers will move forward to play in the 46th National Car Rental Assistant PGA Professional Championship on Thursday, October 17 - Sunday, October 20, 2022 at PGA Golf Club - Wanamaker course.
