31st VSGA Junior Match Play Championship

ELIGIBILITY
Open to VSGA members who have not reached their 20th birthday by June 21, 2022 and did not graduate high school prior to 2022. Participants must hold an active GHIN number issued by a licensed VSGA Member Club in good standing and meet the USGA Rules of Amateur Status. ENTRY FEE/DEADLINE
All participants are required to pay an entry fee of $90 which includes all course fees and lunch for all rounds of competition. In addition, the VSGA will negotiate a discounted practice round fee with the host club. A completed entry form, accompanied by the entry fee must be received in the VSGA Office by Monday, June 13, 2022.
FORMAT
Championship Proper – Field limited to 144 players, accepted by lowest Handicap Index
June 21 – Round one of stroke play qualifying (field cut to low 60 players and ties)
June 22 – Round two of stroke play qualifying (top 16 players advance to match play)
June 23 – Round of 16 and Quarterfinals of match play
June 24 – Semifinal and Final matches
PRIZES/EXEMPTIONS
Trophies will be awarded to the Champion, Finalist, and Semifinalists. A VSGA medal will be awarded to the Medalist. All players advancing to the quarterfinals and beyond receive an exemption into the 2022 VSGA Junior Stroke Play Championship. The Champion receives an exemption into the VSGA Junior Stroke Play Championship for all remaining years of eligibility and the 2022 VSGA Amateur Championship.
CADDIE INFORMATION
Players may have a caddie, but he/she must meet the same age requirements for the tournament as the player.
