AGES/ELIGIBILITY

 Open to female amateur golfers between the ages of 9-18. Entrants must be at least 9 years old on or before the first day of the Championship (June 20) and must not have reached their 19th birthday before the last day of the Championship (June 22). Entrants must have a GSGA handicap index and be residents of the State of Georgia.

Low 78 entries by USGA Handicap Index.

FORMAT

 54 holes of indiviudal stroke play.  

PRACTICE ROUND

One practice round per player. Practice rounds will be available two weeks prior to the competition. Please e-mail Charles Dannewitz  at cdannewitz@callawaygardens.com after you receive your confirmation e-mail on June 9th to reserve your practice round starting time.  The practice round fee is $50 regardless if a player walks or uses a cart.  Practice rounds will be limited to players only.  Carts for practice rounds are permitted for players who are licensed drivers and/or parents driving.

A practice yardage sheet will be available after the close of entries on the event portal page. Practice yardage sheets will also be available at the club. Yardages are approximate and may be adjusted due to inclement weather or other factors that may affect the playing conditions during the competition.  

GOLF SHOP & DRIVING RANGE

The golf shop and driving range will open by 6:30 a.m. each day of competition. 

STARTING TIMES

Starting times for tournament play will be assigned by the GSGA and posted at the club the day before the competition starts. You may visit www.gsga.org for complete pairing information and starting times beginning on June 15th.  All play will start off #1 tee at 7:30 a.m. each day.

REGISTRATION

No formal registration will be held on site. Player withdraws must be called or e-mailed to the GSGA office so that an alternate may be contacted. By registering for this competition, you agree to all of GSGA's policies and procedures that can be accessed using the following link: GSGA Policies & Procedures

CADDIES

All players must walk and carry their own bag or may use a pull cart. Caddies are specifically prohibited.  Pull carts are permitted.

RULES OF PLAY/PACE OF PLAY/CART POLICY

The GSGA Rules of Play, Pace of Play and Spectator Cart Policy for Junior Competitions shall be in effect. Click here to view policies.

 

Spectators may rent carts during the competition rounds at a cost of $25 per cart.  The number of spectator carts allowed for rental to spectators will be limited to two carts per group and no more than two people will be allowed per cart.

PLAYER HOSPITALITY

TBA coming soon. Bottled water will be provided to players at multiple designated locations on the golf course. 

FOOD SERVICE

Food service will be available in the clubhouse. Cash and credit cards will be accepted.

 

PRIZES

The winner shall receive their name engraved on the Nanci Bowen perpetual trophy and will receive a trophy to take home.  The top 6 players overall will receive prizes.

GA/SC GIRLS' JUNIOR CHALLENGE MATCH

The top SIX finishers in the Georgia Girls’ Championship will qualify to participate in the Georgia-South Carolina Girls’ Junior Challenge Match on August 6-7 at The Ford in Richmond Hill, Georgia. The 7th and 8th place finishers will be 1st and 2nd alternates.  Details will be distributed at the conclusion of the championship.  Players must be at least 14 years of age to qualify for the team.

REFUND POLICY

A $30 service charge will be retained by the GSGA on all refunds granted prior to the close of entries. Entry fees will not be refunded after entries close unless there is a waiting list and your spot can be filled. Withdraws after the close of entries must be made by calling the GSGA Rules and Competitions Department at (770) 955-4272 or (800) 949-4742 or via email.
